“Simon, I still remember the first time we made love. We did it in your office. You said that you loved my body and that I was a good girl. I’ll be good, and I’ll teach my baby to behave. 

“Remember that time we made love in the sea of roses? You said that you wanted to keep sleeping with me. I’ll resign right away. and everything in my life will be yours.” 

Simon’s face remained expressionless, but there was disgust in his eyes. 

The moment he heard about the sea of roses, he thought of Bertha. 

She could not hear. Was she ever mistreated while she was outside? Did she eat well and sleep well? He had protected her for so 

many years, but in the end, he had also hurt her the deepest. 

He did not care about Luna’s promise to be with him forever. He only wanted to be with Bertha, but Luna had ruined that small 

wish. 

“Get lost,” Simon said firmly and left without hesitation. Luna remained kneeling behind him and kept shifting toward him whenever he took a step forward 

“I’m begging you, Simon. Please don’t make me get an abortion at City Hospital…” 

She cried at the top of her lungs, but Simon vanished behind the elevator door. 

She sat on the floor in a daze for a night. By then, her tears had run dry, and her voice had turned hoarse. As she stared at the elevator with an empty gaze, wind blew past her, and the cold enveloped her. But it could not compare to the cold disappointment 

in her heart. 

When the light from the morning sun landed on her, she felt some warmth and looked at her stomach. 

She was not showing yet, since she was only two months pregnant, but she could sense her baby’s heartbeat. When she first discovered that she was pregnant, she did not intend to keep the baby because she knew that Bertha was the most important 

Therefore, Luna was willing to be the bad guy in the situation. 

Just as she started imagining a life of love with Simon forever, he shattered her hopes into pieces. He told her that she was only a 

toy he could throw away whenever he wanted, and she was just a joke. 

At this point, Luna finally realized just how cruel Simon could be. Not only did he want to kill her baby, but he also wanted to ruin 

her life. He chose City Hospital for her to get the abortion! That was where she worked! It was clear why he did it; he wanted to 

ruin her reputation. 

‘Simon, you’re evil. You won’t even give me a chance to survive?‘ she thought.
