Luna's Deadly Deception: How She Made Her Alpha Pay novel Chapter 33

"How could you do this, Thea? How could you?" Magnus's eyes began to water but his whole body was still trembling with anger.

"You beat my mother to death. And why? Because she came to confront you?"

"Excuse me, what?" I was finding it hard to wrap my head around what he was saying.

"I did no such thing. Who told you this?"

Magnus said blankly, "I've been following the police around with those parents lately, and I haven't seen my mom in a while, but just now Ashley called to tell me that you killed her."

Ashley?Magnus was still in contact with this whore?

I looked at Magnus mockingly, I was so stupid in the first place that I would fall for someone like that.

I changed into my own couture Magnuset and said, "But since you're here, it's only fitting that we go to court to deal with the compensation."

The scene at the Courts was a far cry from the schoolyard drama. The once-proud parents sat deflated in the harsh fluorescent light.

Their entire worldview had shattered. They'd played up to Ashley thinking she was Luna , their ticket to the upper echelon.

How quickly they'd groveled, desperate to curry favor with what they thought was power.

Now their "queen bee" had been exposed as the very thing they despised-a mistress. And I, the woman they'd attacked and humiliated, turned out to be the real rich girl .

The irony made them sick. They couldn't even look at Ashley now.

Ashley was shocked when she saw Magnus and I walk into the courthouse in harmony. She probably didn't think I could easily convince Magnus that I didn't hurt his mother.

Her son had no way to live a normal life in the pack for the rest of his life.

The truth was a bitter pill she couldn't swallow.

I walked into the courtroom wearing couture clothing and carrying a bag worth the same amount of gold.

Ashley was even more jealous when she saw my outfit.

"Your Honor, please begin your trial."

I sat high on the witness stand, waiting for the werewolf law to punish this stupid woman and the accomplices.
