Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 100

The other guard dogs next to him were barking furiously as well, turning the entire estate into pure chaos.

Arthur threw the car into park and hurried around to open the back door.

As Hudson stepped out, a maid ran up to him, looking completely panicked.

"Boss... Silas and Ginger forced their way in. We couldn't stop them..."

Nora stepped out just in time to hear that, taking a second to process that she was talking about Hudson's older brother and his wife.

She instinctively looked at Hudson.

He stood by the car, his posture perfectly rigid. Under the courtyard lights, the sharp angles of his face looked terrifyingly cold. His lips were pressed into a tight line, his jaw clenched tight.

He didn't show any outward emotion, but the air around him felt like it had dropped below freezing.

Right at that moment, a woman's voice drifted out from the house.

"Hudson, what took you so long? Silas and I have been waiting for over an hour."

Ginger Joyce strolled out, wearing a tight black lace dress, her makeup heavy and dramatic. She swayed her hips as she walked in her stilettos, a look of profound annoyance on her face. "And really, do you have to keep so many dogs? It's giving me a migraine. Why do you need so many vicious mutts anyway? Silas was saying—"

Before she could even finish her sentence, Hudson shot a sideways glance at Arthur.

"Give me your knife."

Arthur hesitated for a fraction of a second, but his body moved faster than his brain. He reached into his jacket and pulled out his tactical combat knife.

Hudson took the blade. In the next second, he grabbed Ginger by the jaw, pressing the freezing steel right against her lips. The icy metal sent a terrifying shudder straight down her spine.

"H-Hudson..."

Ginger was trembling violently, the color completely draining from her face. Her lips quivered against the blade, but she didn't dare move an inch.

"Wh-what are you doing?"

"Ginger, how about I cut your tongue out and feed it to the dogs?"
