Hudson's dark gaze locked onto her glossy, perfect lips, and he immediately swooped in.
Nora threw her hands against his broad shoulders to block him. “Don't...”
She had just applied her lipstick, and he was about to ruin all her hard work.
Hudson stared down at her, his eyes burning with a mesmerizing intensity. “Relax. I won't ruin your makeup. Just one taste...”
“No, you can't—”
Before she could finish her protest, his hand cupped the back of her neck, tilting her head up. His hot breath ghosted over her lips, his voice rumbling with an impossibly sexy command. “Open up.”
The kiss was deep and all-consuming. Nora tried to push him away, but her body instantly melted into a puddle, draining her of every ounce of resistance.
A long, breathless moment passed before he finally pulled back, though his arm remained firmly anchored around her waist. “You look incredibly beautiful in this dress. Like an absolute vision...”
Still reeling from his passionate assault, Nora's cheeks were flushed a vibrant crimson. Hearing his low, raspy compliment sent her heart into an absolute tailspin.
Hudson's thumb caressed her jaw as he pressed a slow, agonizingly tender kiss to the corner of her mouth. “Don't rush to change when we get back tonight,” he murmured, his voice utterly filthy. “Let me take it off you...”
“...”
Thoroughly scandalized, Nora shot him a furious glare and shoved herself out of his grip. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught her reflection in the mirror—her carefully applied lipstick was completely smeared.
“Hudson!”
It took Nora another fifteen minutes to fix her makeup and head downstairs.
Hudson glanced at the beautiful woman still seething at him. His eyes lingered on her freshly retouched lips, and a devastatingly smug smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.
“Let's go.”
Nora rolled her eyes at him, snatched her designer handbag, and marched out the door.
Hudson followed close behind, that cocky smile completely glued to his face.
...
The Hamilton Manor was an absolute fortress situated halfway up Summit Ridge. The entire side of the mountain belonged strictly to the Hamilton family.
Their car wound smoothly up the private, curving mountain road. Ancient, towering trees lined the asphalt, their massive canopies filtering the sunlight and casting dancing, golden shadows across the luxury interior.
Nora pressed close to the window, taking in the sheer, unimaginable scale of the property.
