Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 327

"That's the one."

Grant clicked his tongue. "Word is she has some rare congenital blood disease and needs constant transfusions. The Fairchilds threw millions of dollars at specialists all over the globe, but nothing worked. She's doing slightly better these days and can actually leave the house, but she's still incredibly frail."

"You have to pity Mr. and Mrs. Fairchild."

Sebastian sighed. "Their biological daughter vanished over a decade ago. They spent years looking for her, found nothing, and then the girl they adopted ends up constantly on the verge of death."

"Save your pity," Grant scoffed, his expression dripping with disdain. "The real kicker is what their golden boy is pulling right now."

Sebastian raised a brow. "Finnian Fairchild? What did he do?"

"I heard he found himself a girlfriend with the exact same rare blood type as Liana. Basically, he's just keeping her around as a walking blood bag for his precious adopted sister."

"Fuck, are you serious?"

"Dead serious!"

Nora sat quietly, hanging onto every word.

It wasn't the first time she had heard rumors about the elite Fairchild family.

The last time, she'd learned that Jude Winslow had been arranged to marry the missing Fairchild heiress since birth. Now she was hearing that Finnian was using his girlfriend as a medical reserve for his sister.

They were famously known as the most powerful dynasty in Northampton, yet their internal drama was more twisted than a soap opera.

"But bringing it back home."

Grant said, his tone turning serious as he looked at Hudson. "Finnian is in San Francisco right now, and he's been getting awfully close to your uncle Lawrence. You might want to watch your back, Boss."

Hudson leaned back in his chair. He didn't even blink at the warning. Instead, a chilling, predatory smirk played on his lips.

He knew exactly what Finnian was trying to achieve by aligning with Lawrence.

"Let him."

Grant opened his mouth to argue, but suddenly, Nora's fishing rod jerked violently downwards.

Startled, she gripped the rod tightly, the massive force nearly pulling her straight out of her chair.

Hudson reacted instantly, wrapping an iron grip around her waist to anchor her while his other hand clamped down over hers on the rod.
