Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 349

Right now, Hudson was in too much agony, and Nora had no mind to dwell on anything else. "Sorry to trouble you, Dr. Harrison."

"It's no trouble," Liam said, pulling off his apron and tossing it straight into Olive's arms. "Let's go. Let me check on his condition first."

By this point, Hudson was struggling to suppress the erratic, violent energy surging through his veins.

He sat on the sofa, a fine layer of sweat beading on his forehead. The collar of his shirt was unbuttoned, revealing collarbones that were flushed an unnatural shade of red.

Liam dug a blood pressure monitor out of his medical kit, expertly wrapped the cuff around Hudson's arm, and hit the start button.

The machine hummed quietly. The numbers jumped for a few seconds before settling on a reading that made Liam's eyelid twitch.

"You broke a record this time, boss."

Hudson shot him a dark glare. "Cut the crap."

Liam took a deep breath, retrieved a vial from his kit, snapped the ampoule open, and drew the liquid into a syringe. Without hesitation, he administered the shot into Hudson's arm.

"This is just a temporary fix to bring your pressure down. It'll buy you an hour or two at most."

"Got it," Hudson replied, his voice dangerously low.

Liam's brow furrowed into a tight knot. "Hudson, even though you haven't been relying on suppressants lately and your drug resistance is improving, having these episodes so frequently is taking a massive toll on your body!"

He gestured wildly. "Last time at the boxing ring, you gave Archer a mild concussion—he threw up for days! I had it worse with two broken ribs. I just barely recovered. If we go another round with you, we might actually lose our lives..."

"Dr. Harrison, I can..."

Liam jumped, waving his hands frantically at Nora. "Absolutely not! A delicate flower like you couldn't take a single punch from him."

Silence fell over the room.

Leaning against the doorframe, Archer rolled his eyes so hard he nearly saw his own brain.

There was a reason these single guys were still single.

Nora bit her lip, hesitating for a second before speaking up. "Um... Didn't you say physical intimacy could help release the tension? I can..."

The living room went dead silent.
