Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 352

In Arthur's eyes, these two punks only had their combat skills going for them. Ruin their hands, and they'd be entirely useless.

Their real target was Lawrence Lancaster. There was no need to stoop to the level of his pawns.

"Fine, have at it," Olive scoffed. Though visibly annoyed, she tossed the pliers back into the toolbox.

As Arthur stepped forward, the Holloway twins glared at him like cornered wolves, looking as though they wanted to rip his throat out with their teeth.

Arthur remained entirely unfazed.

He pulled out his phone, tapped the screen a few times, and held it up for the twins to see.

The screen displayed a financial fund account interface, packed with a dense maze of numbers and charts.

"You two manage this fund, right?"

Hugo's face tightened with wariness, but he kept his mouth shut, terrified of saying the wrong thing.

Arthur slipped the phone back into his pocket, his tone conversational. "Do you know what Archer's been up to lately?"

Hugo's brow furrowed as a deep sense of dread washed over him.

"He's been shorting your fund."

"Impossible!" Harvey thrashed violently against his bonds, raw panic finally breaking through his tough facade.

Arthur lifted a lazy gaze to meet his. "Did your godfather never tell you? The empire Archer built by the time he was eighteen was worth more than what that old man scraped together in half a lifetime."

Hugo's expression cracked.

Lawrence had mentioned it.

He had brought it up to them on multiple occasions.

Every time he spoke of it, his tone was laced with an unreadable, complex emotion.

Admiration, pride... and a bitter streak of jealousy.

Arthur's voice was ice-cold. "The greatest regret of your godfather's life is that he wasn't born with a brain like Archer's."
