Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 396

When she returned to the lounge, Leo eagerly bounded over like an excited puppy.

"Nora, that was badass!"

Nora couldn't help but laugh at his goofy expression. "Knock it off."

"I'm serious. The Boss hasn't even arrived to play hero yet, and you already destroyed her? You're not giving him any chance to show off."

Nora paused, the realization dawning on her. "You told Hudson?"

Leo nodded shamelessly. "Obviously. The Boss explicitly told me that if anyone ever gave you a hard time, I was to report to him immediately. I'm not stupid enough to disobey him."

"You bothered him over something this petty?"

"It's not bothering! It's called... providing crucial real-time updates!"

Nora shook her head, amused by his twisted logic, and decided not to argue.

"So, did he reply?"

Leo pulled out his phone and flashed the screen at her. "Yep. Just told me to send the address."

The timestamp was over half an hour ago.

"That's weird. He should have been here by now..."

Muttering to himself, he opened Hudson's contact and hit the call button.

It rang and rang, but no one picked up.

Leo frowned and dialed again.

Still no answer.

"Tch, what's going on?"

While Leo stared at his phone in confusion, a crew member called his name.

Nora patted his shoulder. "You're up. Go rehearse. I'll call him."

"Alright."

Watching Leo jog off toward the stage, Nora pulled out her phone and dialed Hudson's number.

It rang several times.
