Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 58

But he just had to run into someone like Leo Hamilton—stubborn, completely uncooperative, and untouchable.

"Leo, please, this is..."

Before the producer could finish, Nora stepped up and rapped her knuckles firmly against the door.

"Leo. Open the door."

The practice room went silent for a second before a lazy, mocking guitar strum echoed through the wood, clear retaliation.

Nora's expression didn't change. She knocked again, harder this time.

"I'm giving you three seconds. If you don't open the door, I'm having the lock busted."

The producer jumped, staring at Nora in absolute shock.

This girl looked young, but she had a terrifying amount of audacity. She was also almost absurdly gorgeous. Was she even an employee here?

Unsure of who he was dealing with, he tested the waters. "And you are...?"

Nora ignored his attitude entirely. She stepped aside and gestured toward the room. "Please, come in."

The producer stared blankly for two seconds, glancing at Leo in sheer disbelief.

Despite looking like he wanted to murder someone, Leo didn't kick them out. He pressed his thin lips together, swept a freezing glare over the producer, scoffed, and stalked back into the room. He collapsed onto the sofa and crossed one long leg over the other.

Treating the invitation like a royal pardon, the producer hurried in with his assistant trailing behind him.

Nora walked in last and shut the door firmly, cutting off the gossiping stares from the hallway.

Inside, Leo sprawled out in the center armchair, propping his boots onto the coffee table. He rested his guitar against his leg, radiating an aura of arrogant indifference.

The producer plastered on a desperate smile and signaled for his assistant to hand over the paperwork. "Leo, this is the schedule and rules for 'The Next Icon'. If you'd just take a look..."
