Leo Hamilton ignored everyone, striding aggressively toward the fire escape and shoving the door open. The eerie green glow of the emergency exit sign cast heavy shadows on his face, making him look even more furious.

He pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

It was picked up after two rings.

"Grant," Leo muttered, his voice thick with frustration.

"Well, what's going on?"

On the other end of the line, Grant Hamilton was lounging on a club sofa, a drink in hand. He raised an eyebrow. "Who pissed our little prince off? Tell me so I can have a good laugh."

"Be serious," Leo gritted his teeth. "I have something to ask you."

"Yeah, shoot."

"Does Gavin have a girlfriend?"

Grant paused with his glass halfway to his mouth.

"What girlfriend?"

Leo scoffed. So Grant didn't know either.

"Gavin has a girlfriend?" Grant quickly sat up straight. "Have you seen her?"

"I don't know if she's his girlfriend, but she has Gavin's private number saved in her phone..."

Grant was stunned for two seconds before cursing out loud. "Damn, hell finally froze over?!"

"I'm just asking if you knew about this!" Leo kicked the wall in irritation.

"No idea, no idea," Grant mumbled around the cigarette dangling from his lips. "If Gavin had a girlfriend, do you really think he'd tell me? But if what you're saying is true..."

He paused, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully.

"If she has his private number, their relationship is definitely not simple..."
