Leo didn't utter a word.

"And the longest one lasted a mere seven days?"

Leo remained silent, but a cold sweat broke out across his back.

Hudson paused, his tone unhurried. "I also heard you gave the new agent a hard time today?"

Leo couldn't hold back anymore. He looked up defensively. "Mr. Lancaster, that Jade Reed, she..."

"She what?" Hudson cut him off, his voice low but carrying a terrifying weight. "If you drive her away, you're out too. I'll have Grant put you on a leash and drag you home."
