Chapter 109

Luna’s POV

The moment I finally arrived in front of room 312, my entire body already felt like it was giving up on me. My legs hurt from walking all the way back to the dorm, my shoulders ached from tension, and worst of all, my chest still felt stupidly tight after seeing Ryder with that girl earlier. Even though I kept trying to convince myself that I had absolutely no right to fee! jealous, the feeling still refused to leave me alone. It sat there stubbornly inside me like an itch I could not scratch away no matter how hard I tried.

Honestly, all I wanted at that point was to collapse into bed and stop thinking for the rest of the night.

I pushed the door open tiredly while mentally preparing myself to either find Ivy asleep or possibly not around at all, but the second I stepped into the room, I froze so hard that for a moment, my brain completely stopped working.

To my absolute horror, Ivy was lying on her bed, and on top of her was a boy I had never seen before in my life.

They were making out so aggressively that they genuinely did not even realize someone had entered the room. Ivy’s hands were tangled in the boy’s hair while his hands were gripping her waist, and the sounds coming from them made my soul immediately try to leave my body.

“Oh my God,” I whispered in complete horror while staring at them.

Neither of them heard me.

I stood there awkwardly for another painful few seconds before finally deciding that if I suffered alone in silence any longer. I might actually pass away from secondhand embarrassment. With a deeply horrified expression, I slammed the door shut loudly behind me.

The loud sound finally snapped them both out of whatever intense moment they had been having.

Ivy’s eyes widened so fast when she saw me standing there that I almost started laughing despite my exhaustion. She immediately pushed the boy off her while looking both horrified and guilty at the same time.

“Luna!” she squeaked out in panic.

The boy looked equally startled as he sat up quickly and looked between both of us like he was trying to figure out whether he should stay or run for his life.

Meanwhile, my legs were still throbbing painfully from walking halfway across campus, my emotions were still a complete mess because of Ryder, and now I had apparently walked into an unexpected live romance scene in my own room.

Honestly, the universe was testing me today. Letting out a tired groan, I dropped my bag slightly against my side betore looking at Ivy

“Should I excuse you two?” I asked weakly.

Ivy immediately shook her head so fast it almost looked painful. “No!” she blurted out quickly. “No, you don’t have to.

Then she turned toward the boy beside her and immediately started fixing her hair while whispering urgently, “You should go.”

The poor guy practically jumped off the bed at record speed. Just as he started rushing toward the door though. Ivy quickly pointed at him warningly.

“And don’t get caught,” she warned him seriously. “If you do, you better not mention my name.”

the boy winked shamelessly at her like this was somehow all amusing to him. “I understand,” he responded easily Tl vee you later.”

I stared at both of them in disbelief while he slipped out of the room like some criminal escaping a crime scene. The second the door closed behind him, silence immediately filled the room for a few seconds before I slowly turned to Ivy.

She looked nervous, very nervous.

I immediately shook my head at her. “You could’ve warned me,” I complained tiredly while pulling my shoes off one after the other. “You didn’t even think to lock the door. I could’ve walked in on you two mid sex if I had come a few minutes later.”

Ivy let out a nervous laugh while rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. “I got caught up in the moment,” she admitted sheepishly. “So I forgot about the door.”

I gave her a long look. “You forgot about basic survival instincts? Someone else could have walked in.”

She snorted softly despite herself before flopping dramatically on the bed. “Okay, fine, maybe I should have been more careful. I’ll be sure to lock up next time.”

I tossed my shoes aside and sighed heavily while trying very hard not to imagine what I had almost walked into. Honestly. after everything that happened today, that was definitely not the mental image I needed in my life.

‘I seriously need bleach for my eyes,” I muttered.

Ivy burst into laughter at that before sitting up again. “It wasn’t that bad.”

‘It absolutely was.”

Still laughing slightly, Ivy shook her head before suddenly pausing like she had just remembered something. “To be honest.” he said while looking at me carefully. “I didn’t think you were coming back tonight.”

Immediately. I frowned in confusion and looked at her. “Where else was I supposed to go?” I asked suspiciously.

The second the words left my mouth, Ivy suddenly looked nervous again, very nervous.

‘Oh,” I said slowly while immediately understanding what she meant. “You thought I was going to spend the night out because I went on a date with Theo?”

Ivy winced slightly like she knew she had been caught. “Well…”

I immediately shook my head at her in disbelief. “You’re actually ridiculous,” I told her while walking toward my side of the room. “You should know me better than that. Why would you think I’d sleep with somebody on a first date? Much less Theo of all people.”

Ivy raised both hands defensively. “I don’t know!” she argued quickly “You two already have weird tension, and he’s ridiculously attractive, and technically he’s your mate, so I just thought maybe…”

“No,” I interrupted immediately.

Ivy stared at me for another second before slowly narrowing her eyes. “Then the date didn’t go well?”

I paused halfway through taking my earrings off. The truth was that the date actually had gone well, way too well.

Which was honestly part of the problem. I hated that I had actually enjoyed myself with Theo today. I hated that beneath all

the flirting and arrogance, there had been moments where he felt surprisingly genuine. Worse still was the fact that I could still remember kissing him earlier and completely losing my mind for several seconds.
