Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 181

**The Heart I Buried for You by Serene Lockwood**
**Chapter 181: It’s All in the Past (Part Two)**

**Zelena’s POV:**

The previous night had been a sleepless torment for me. My mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, each one more frantic than the last. Even though I had resolved to confront Felix, a gnawing fear still lingered deep within me, clawing at my resolve. I couldn’t shake the horrifying image of my private photos being splashed across every wolf pack territory in the region. The mere thought sent a wave of anxiety crashing over me, making it impossible to find a comfortable position.

So, when Deanna walked in, her face glowing with an almost ethereal freshness, I felt a flicker of irritation spark inside me. How could she look so carefree when I was drowning in dread?

Without missing a beat, Deanna approached me and handed over a thick stack of files. “I’ve gathered every shred of evidence against Felix—proof of tax evasion, illegal competition, you name it.”

Maggie, who had been leaning against the wall, practically shouted in disbelief, “You managed to get all that already? Deanna, we just discussed this yesterday! How on earth did you pull it off overnight? You’re an absolute genius!”

Flipping open the file, my heart raced as I scanned the pages. Sure enough, the evidence laid out before me was damning. Each piece of information was a potential weapon against Felix, a way to ensure he would never be able to operate within our community again if I chose to act on it.

Deanna leaned in, her voice steady and reassuring. “Zelena, we can use this evidence about his tax evasion to retrieve those photos. And trust me, scumbags like him always face their reckoning. The moon goddess doesn’t let them off the hook.”

I stared at the file, my emotions a tangled mess. Instead of feeling triumphant, confusion clouded my mind. “Deanna, where did you even get all this information?”

Maggie, unable to contain herself, raised a hand with a conspiratorial grin. “I bet it was that pureblood Alpha who lent you a hand.”

“Pureblood Alpha?” I echoed, tilting my head in curiosity.

In Sudland, the title was synonymous with the Mooncrown Pack’s golden boy, a figure who commanded respect and admiration. Could it be possible that he was involved?

Maggie nodded enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “Yeah, the one who had our backs during yesterday’s meeting—Mr. Eaton from the Mooncrown Pack! Zelena, he’s seriously incredible, right?”

Every time Zelena’s gaze fell upon Felix, she was reminded of how foolishly she had once yearned for his mark. Taking a deep breath, she clenched her fists, forcing herself to remain calm. “Give me those photos,” she demanded, her voice low and measured, each word deliberate.

Felix let out a cold, mocking laugh that sent chills down her spine. “Zelena, after all these years, you still haven’t learned a thing. Just because you ask for something doesn’t mean you’ll receive it. Who do you think you are to me?”

Sitting calmly to the side, Deanna slid the stack of files across the table, her demeanor unwavering. “Felix, why don’t you take a look and see if those photos are worth what’s contained in here?”

Felix finally turned his attention to Deanna, and she instantly captivated him. Not only was she undeniably more attractive than Zelena, but there was a wild spark in her that piqued his interest, igniting a desire to toy with her.

Raising an eyebrow, he lazily picked up the file, barely glancing at it at first. He honestly didn’t believe these women posed any real threat to him. But as he flipped to the first page and began to read, the transformation in his demeanor was immediate. By the time he reached the end, his expression had darkened significantly.

With a grip so tight it crumpled the file, he slammed it down on the table, his voice a harsh bark, “Who gave you this?”
