Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 281

**Chapter 281: I Want to Feed You**

**Deanna’s POV:**

“I truly wish I could find a place to keep you hidden, away from prying eyes,” Luis declared, his voice laced with a possessiveness that sent a shiver of excitement through me. My heart raced, caught off guard by the weight of his words.

I redirected my gaze, focusing on the road ahead. “I really need to get home,” I replied, trying to sound firm.

Luis’s response came slowly, as if he were savoring each word. “Back to Crestwood Park?”

I blinked, momentarily caught in his gaze.

Give this man an inch, and he’d seize a mile.

Just as I was about to protest, I felt the car veer toward Crestwood Park, the familiar surroundings rushing back.

Luis reclined lazily in his seat, a casual confidence radiating from him. “You’ll need another checkup in a few days. I’ll bring you back once the results are in. It’ll save you from shedding tears again.”

“I wasn’t crying!” I retorted, my cheeks flushing with a mixture of embarrassment and irritation.

Luis shot me a sidelong glance, a teasing smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “Alright, alright, I was the one crying. Are you satisfied now?”

I sighed, realizing the futility of arguing with him. Silence enveloped us, but beneath it all, I couldn’t shake the thought that I really didn’t want to face the next checkup alone.

However…

“I don’t have any clean clothes with me!” I exclaimed, turning to face him, my frustration bubbling over.

“Don’t fret,” he replied, his lips curling into a playful grin. “If it comes to that, you can always wear mine.”

“No way!” I scrunched my nose in distaste, the very idea making me cringe.

With a chuckle, Luis reached over to tousle my hair. “You’re such a little brat.”

Before long, the car rolled to a stop at Crestwood Park.

As I stepped out, a whirlwind of emotions washed over me.

I recalled the last time I had been here, packing up my belongings, convinced I would never return…

My eyes scanned the room, and I was taken aback to see the box of my discarded items still sitting by the door, untouched and unchanged.

“Why is this still here?” I asked, turning to Luis, confusion etched on my face.

I distinctly remembered throwing everything away.

Luis’s expression shifted, surprise flickering in his eyes before he quickly averted his gaze. His tone turned defensive, almost arrogant. “You said I bought all this with my money. If I want to retrieve it, I will.”

A warmth blossomed in my chest at his proud, awkward stance.

There stood Luis, sleeves rolled up, the muscles in his forearms flexing as he busied himself with cooking.

Hearing my footsteps, he turned slightly, offering a brief smile before ladling something into a soup plate and stepping out of the kitchen.

Curiosity piqued, I leaned in for a better look. The soup plate was filled with a steaming, rich stew that looked absolutely mouthwatering.

The broth had thickened beautifully, holding tender chunks of beef and soft, flavorful vegetables. The generous ingredients promised a hearty meal.

The savory aroma of meat mingled with fragrant herbs wafted through the air, making my mouth water. My stomach gave a gentle flutter, reminding me just how hungry I truly was.

Luis held the soup plate, stirring it with a spoon to cool it down, when suddenly, he pulled me over and guided me to sit on the couch.

He settled beside me, his powerful Alpha scent intertwining with the delicious aroma of the food, enveloping me in a comforting embrace.

With a gentle yet commanding gesture, he picked up the soup spoon, scooping up a portion of the stewed meat and broth before bringing it to my lips.

Heat rushed to my face, embarrassment washing over me. “I can do it myself,” I protested, reaching out to take the spoon from him, eager to feed myself.

But Luis simply raised his hand, effortlessly evading my grasp.

His gaze bore into mine, those intense green eyes holding a depth that sent my heart racing.

“I want to feed you,” he stated, his voice low and sincere, leaving no room for argument.
