Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 327

**Chapter 327: Another Way**

**Deanna’s POV:**

I found myself staring at Luis, utterly bewildered. “Your pants?” I exclaimed, my voice a mix of disbelief and exasperation.

He looked at me with that infuriatingly innocent expression, as if he were a child asking for a cookie. “But I need to use my arm to take off my pants,” he replied, his tone almost playful.

I couldn’t help but throw my hands up in frustration. “You hurt your arm, not your leg! You still have one good hand. Take them off yourself!”

Luis sighed dramatically, the sound heavy with mock defeat.

“Forget it,” he said, his voice dropping slightly. “I know I’m troublesome. Since you don’t feel bad for me… I’ll just do it myself. If I end up pulling on the wound… there’s nothing I can do about it—”

“Stop!” I interrupted, my teeth clenched in irritation. “I’ll do it. I’ll help you! Happy now?”

With that, I reached out, my fingers trembling slightly as they brushed against the waistband of his pants.

Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath and yanked them down in one swift motion.

Suddenly, his swollen erection was right there in front of me, completely exposed.

My throat went dry, and I felt an involuntary shiver run through me. I quickly turned away, pretending to maintain my composure while my heart raced in my chest.

“You’ll handle the rest yourself,” I managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper.

“Heh.”

Luis let out a soft, amused chuckle from behind me, his tone light and teasing.

“Deanna, you’re too cute. It’s not like you haven’t seen it before, hmm?”

“Luis, shut up!” I snapped, my face burning with embarrassment. I was so furious I could almost feel the heat radiating from my ears.

Back then, when we had shared those moments, the lights had been off.

Now, the bright overhead lights turned everything into an awkward reality.

In that instant, I heard the sound of water splashing behind me. When I turned my head, I saw that Luis had already stepped into the bathtub filled with warm water, the steam rising around him like a soft veil.

He leaned back lazily, his injured arm draped over the edge of the tub, a lazy smile playing on his lips as he drawled, “Deanna, the water’s getting cold.”

I took a deep breath, fanned my burning face with my hand, and mentally steeled myself for what I had to do.

Grabbing a clean white towel, I crouched beside the tub, ready to help him wash.

As I worked, I kept my eyes glued to his shoulder, carefully avoiding any contact with his wound, my heart pounding with each movement.

Once I finished, I turned to grab a towel, but just then, I heard a splash behind me.

Perhaps it was the fact that we hadn’t kissed in what felt like an eternity, or maybe it was the intoxicating scent of him that wrapped around me like a familiar embrace.

Or perhaps our bodies were simply craving each other.

I melted into the kiss, my eyes fluttering shut as I sank deeper into the moment.

As we kissed, his hand slid down my waist, hot against my skin, inching dangerously close to slipping under my shirt.

Suddenly, a thought struck me, and I snapped my eyes open, grabbing his wandering hand to stop him.

“No,” I said firmly, my heart racing.

Luis lifted his gaze, his eyes dark and heavy with desire as he stared at me, his voice low and filled with longing. “Deanna, I really want you.”

His hand continued to wander, his voice a tempting whisper. “And you want it too, don’t you?”

Looking into those desperate eyes made my heart flutter, but I remembered the warning Lawrence had given me.

Breathing unevenly, I said, “Your shoulder can’t take any strain.”

Luis traced my lips with his thumb, leaning closer to my ear, his voice slow and enticing. “Then we’ll do it another way.”

With that, Luis slowly lowered himself down…
