Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 339

**Chapter 339: Flirting on Camera**

Deanna found herself momentarily paralyzed as she caught sight of Luis stepping onto the stage.

What is he doing here?

The question flitted through her mind like a startled bird, and she couldn’t help but wonder why he had chosen such a dramatic entrance.

In the recesses of her mind, Mila, their shared inner voice, buzzed with excitement, sensing the presence of their destined mate.

Malcolm, seated beside her, shot a glance at Deanna, his expression darkening like a storm cloud gathering on the horizon.

The audience below erupted into hushed murmurs, their curiosity palpable.

“No wonder his aura is so powerful—he’s the pure-blood Alpha of the Mooncrown Pack!”

“Mr. Eaton is unbelievably handsome! I’m so thrilled to be here for this show!”

“But why did Mr. Eaton come? What did he mean by asking them to ask him instead? This is turning into a full-blown drama scene!”

“Too bad Deanna is already pregnant with Mr. Faulkner’s child. Even Mr. Eaton probably can’t compete now.”

“If I were in her shoes, and Mr. Eaton showed up while I was pregnant, I’d choose him in a heartbeat!”

Luis strode confidently toward the stage, illuminated by the bright, unforgiving spotlights. There was an air of calm about him, as though he were in complete control of the situation.

Without hesitation, he made his way to the couch on Deanna’s left and took a seat.

The contrast between him and Malcolm was stark.

Malcolm, positioned on her right, maintained a respectful distance, leaving at least half an arm’s space between them.

Luis, however, settled in close, his long arm draping casually behind her on the couch, his legs crossed in a relaxed manner.

From every angle, it seemed as if he was almost enveloping her in his presence.

Luis tilted his head, studying Deanna intently. Under the glaring lights, her long, curled lashes fluttered down, obscuring her thoughts from view.

He leaned in, lowering his lips to her ear, his breath warm against her skin.

“Why didn’t you tell me you had an interview to do, hmm?”

The sudden intimacy of his proximity sent a rush of heat to Deanna’s cheeks.

She wasn’t a celebrity; the closeness felt foreign, almost overwhelming.

Yet, Luis seemed unfazed by the cameras, treating her with the same affection he would in their private moments.

Deanna bit her lip, trying to gather her thoughts. “This interview is meant to clarify the rumors from the press conference.”

That was the reason she hadn’t mentioned it to him.

She hadn’t anticipated that the conversation would spiral into such a spectacle.

“Oh?”

“Mr. Eaton is hilarious! He’s got game!”

Baz felt his face flush with embarrassment but quickly regained his composure, relying on his years of experience in the industry.

“Of course, of course. A beautiful Omega like Ms. Wiley is certainly worth pursuing.”

“Mr. Eaton, perhaps you aren’t aware, but Ms. Wiley is already taken. Her boyfriend is gentle and makes her feel very safe.”

“Really?”

Luis raised an eyebrow, his gaze fixed tenderly on Deanna, his voice dropping to a low, rich timbre. “Your boyfriend is gentle and makes you feel safe?”

With each word, Deanna felt the heat rise in her cheeks.

By the end of his statement, her entire face was aflame.

Why is this reporter being so unprofessional?

He’s just repeating everything I said!

Deanna squeezed her eyes shut, murmuring, “He’s making that up!”

Luis’s lips curled into a wider grin, amusement dancing in his eyes.

He turned to Baz, a playful glint in his gaze. “Could you repeat what you just said? I didn’t catch it clearly.”
