Jake’s POV:

“Deanna! What’s on your neck?”

She let out a fake smile. “Haven’t seen a hickey before?”

That mocking tone lit a fire in me. I couldn’t hold back anymore.

“Who did this? How dare you cheat on me?”

“Cheat?” She laughed like it was the biggest joke she’d ever heard. “Jake, you and I are already over. Whoever I’m with now is my business. How is that cheating?”

My chest rose and fell with anger and jealousy.

n the next second, I grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward the fancy restroom down the hall.

She stumbled in her ceremonial gown, struggling against my grip.

‘Psycho! Let me go!”

But I felt nothing except the fire inside me, burning hotter with every step.

nside the restroom, I slammed the door shut and locked it. I yanked the showerhead off the wall, turned on the water, and sprayed t right at her.

As if the water could wash away the scent and marks another Alpha had left on her.

Her hair clung to her face, her expensive gown soaked through, outlining her slim figure. But all I could see were those glaring marks on her skin.

‘I haven’t even touched you, Deanna. And you dare to betray me?”

Soaked head to toe, she suddenly lunged forward, ripped the showerhead from my hand, and threw it to the floor. “I wanted it. What can you do about that?”

clenched my teeth, my voice sharp. “Unbelievable, Deanna. I really underestimated you.”

The truth was–I’d wanted her for years.

In fact, every time she was close, it took everything I had to fight the urge to give in to my desire.

But my pack had an unspoken rule.

Before the mating ceremony, the future Luna had to remain untouched. The bond with the Alpha would be untouched and absolute.

That’s why I had always held myself back, never daring to get too close to her.

But now, that restraint felt like the biggest joke of my life.

My woman had cheated on me!

I grabbed a white towel off the wall and rubbed it hard against Deanna’s skin.

“You’re filthy! What? You couldn’t wait, Deanna? Tell me who touched you?”

Whoever that werewolf was, I swore I’d kill him.

No matter what it took.

“Filthy?” Deanna shoved me hard, her voice sharp.

“You think I’m filthy now? Then don’t hold the mating ceremony with someone like me.”

“Whether I make you my Luna or not is up to me!” The veins on my forehead throbbed as I roared, “If anyone’s doing the breaking up, it’ll be me, not you. Who do you think you are?”

Deanna lifted her head, staring right at me.

“Who do I think I am?”

Her words came out like knives. “Do you remember what you said the day I was kidnapped? You told those rogues to violate me, to mark me. Did you forget, Alpha?”

Boom! Thunder exploded inside my skull.

I stumbled back, crashing against the cold tile wall.

“No, it wasn’t real. The kidnapping was fake.”

Deanna laughed, bitter and sharp. “Fake? It wasn’t fake, Jake. I was really taken. Too bad you weren’t there. You were too busy chasing your first love’s last wishes, holding that little ceremony for Peggie.”

My knees almost gave out. I clung to the sink for balance, staring at her in shock. My voice shook. “So, your first time…”

Deanna pulled the towel tight around her body. Every word she said was ice. “It was with those rogues.”

I searched her face, desperate to see even the smallest sign that she was lying or maybe joking. But her eyes were frozen, colder

than I’d ever seen.

And then the memory hit me like a hammer–my voice from that night. I told them if they violated her, I’ll add another million as their compensation.

The weight of guilt crushed me. My chest ached like it might split open. I couldn’t bear to meet her eyes. I stumbled out of the bathroom, broken, my steps unsteady as if I were running from the truth itself.
