Chapter 93 Fiancée? Did I Agree to That?
Deanna’s POV:
Luis’s stare lingered, as if he wanted to consume every part of me.
His sharp nose caught my eye, and my heart skipped a beat.
He smirked teasingly. “I want you tonight… What should we do about that?
Gosh!
How could I expect him to say something serious?
I glared at him, feeling angry and embarrassed, then ended the video call.
Luis’s POV:
After Deanna hung up, the smirk on my lips lingered. A knock at the door snapped me back.
“Come in,” I said, walking over and settling behind my desk.
Aaron walked in respectfully and handed me a folder.
I signed at the bottom of the contract, slid it back, and asked, “Did you book my Friday flight home?”
This trip was to clean up a mess at one of our branch offices.

It was supposed to take a week, but I forced everything down into four days–just so I could rush back in time for Deanna’s birthday.
Aaron grunted as he took the document from me.
After a pause, he looked uneasy and spoke carefully.
“Alpha, heiress of the Blackcreek Pack has her graduation this week. Mrs. Eaton hopes you’ll attend before flying home.”
His voice trailed off at the end.
I tapped my fingers on the desk, staring at him. “My grandmother asked me to do this?”
He gave a small nod, “Yes.”
A dry laugh escaped me as I leaned back in my chair. “Tell me, Aaron–are you my man or hers?”
“I serve you, of course.”
“My man, huh? Then why are you giving me orders?”
Aaron lowered his head and said, “I would never do that, Alpha.”
I let out a fake smile. “You won’t? Seems to me you’re quite bold. What’s next? You’ll try to stop my plane from taking off?”

Aaron paled. “Alpha, I understand. I’ll handle it.”
Not long after, my phone rang.
It was Grandma.

“Luis.” Her voice was soft but firm. “Nadia is the fiancée I chose for you. Her graduation is important. If you don’t go, both I and the Blackcreek Pack’s Alpha will be deeply disappointed.”
I pressed my tongue against my cheek, lifted the glass of red wine from the desk, and took a slow sip. A cold laugh slipped out.
“Fiancée? Did I ever agree to that? Grandma, I’m the Alpha. I don’t need anyone else arranging my life.”
Grandma barked, “Have you forgotten how your father and grandfather died? If you don’t find a healer, how much time do you think you have left? Our pack has stood for a hundred years–we can’t let it end with you! Blackcreek Pack is the only pureblood clan left in Sudland, equal in strength to us. Nadia is the Luna I chose for you after careful thought.”
Her voice grew shrill, almost hysterical. I leaned back in my chair, bored.
“Grandma, you sound perfectly healthy. Why don’t you find yourself another mate? I wouldn’t mind having a few more uncles around. That way the bloodline won’t end with me.”
“You brat! How dare you say something like that?”
I rebuked, “I’ve always been this way. You know that.”
“Luis, as Alpha, your marriage is not yours to decide alone!”
“Then what? Should I let you make the decision for me instead?”
