(Author’s POV)
"What happened to her? Why did she faint all of a sudden?" Dion asked, his voice gravelly.
"The patient collapsed due to extreme stress, exhaustion and also lack of sleep. But rest assured, Mr. Everests. I have administered the medicine. She will be sleeping for a while," the doctor told him. "And~ .... as for the abrasions, I have bandaged the wounds on the patient’s elbows. Make sure it doesn’t come in contact with water, and remember to change it regularly."
Dion hummed in response; his eyes were glued to Myra’s ghostly, pallid face. "You may take your leave," he uttered.
Taking his orders, the doctor retrieved his steps and walked out of the room, leaving only Dion and a sound asleep Myra alone. Dion sat on the bed, taking Myra’s hand in his, his eyes never leaving her face.
He recalled Myra’s outburst, her violent wails, her accusatory remarks and a grim expression appeared on his face as he mumbled softly, "You hate the thought of associating with a wolf that much?"
A tired sigh escaped his mouth, "I will show you my kind isn’t like how you think it is." When he was just about to touch Myra’s forehead, his phone started ringing in his pocket. Taking out the device, Dion glanced at the collar ID. His face instantly shifted cold, icy cold. He neither cut nor picked up the call, and just let it buzz. His thoughts reeled back to what actually transpired a few hours ago.
As soon as Wendy left his office, his heart was filled with excitement at the thought of meeting Myra properly. He had so much to say, so much to ask her. He couldn’t wait. But that feeling didn’t last long. He heard whispers and murmuring outside his office, "Did you see those photos on the university forum?"
"Of course, not just me, everyone in Red Stone must have seen it by now. Mr. Everests, ohh my gosh .... He is so breathtakingly handsome, like the Greek god, Apollo. By his presence, he has riled up the whole campus. I wish I could be the one by his side and not that average looking girl."
Dion thought they were talking about him and Wendy and wasn’t going to pay any heed to it, but what he heard next made him freeze his actions.
"I know that girl, she and my cousin attend the same major. Apparently, she is a scholarship student from the finance department. Her name is umm~ .... what was it? My~ .... My~ra .... uhh~ yes. Myra Miracle. Though average~ ... she is really something else. All the professors are fascinated by her. Especially, the male professors. Even Prof. Stephens is not spared in that aspect. She had him wrapped around her little finger. She is so~ ... AAAAAAaaaaaa," as the girl was in the middle of trash talking about Myra, a yelp escaped her mouth. She cussed out loud, "Hey, who the fu~ ...." but when she saw who it was, her eyes flew open as she stammered, "Di~ Di~ ... Dion Eve~rests? Prof.~ ... Everests."
Dion was clasping her wrist tightly, in a vice like grip. Though his face held that same charismatic smile he always donned, but it didn’t reach his eyes as he said, his voice melodic like a symphony, "What were you talking about? What picture is it? Can I see it?"
As if hypnotized by him, neither of the girls protested. They even blushed and showed him the viral photos on the university forum. Dion flinched at the sight of the images.
There was a series of snapshots of Myra and Alaric walking side by side. From the angle it was taken, it seemed like they were having an intimate conversation. Everyone in the comment section was either envious of Myra’s golden luck or calling out on her tricks.
At the sight of the photos and the following remark, Dion’s blood started boiling. His grip on the girl tightened even more. A whimper came out of her mouth as she flinched and said, "Pro~ .... Prof. Everests~ .... it’s hurting. Can you please let me go?" She didn’t dare to snap at him like before.
After giving her wrist a bone crushing, good squeeze, Dion let go of the girl’s hand and marched out of the building. His face ominous.
The girl and her friend glanced at the former’s wrist. The angry, red bruise stared at the two of them. This was Dion’s way of punishing her for her verbal vomit.
’Dio, why is Alaric here? And with Myra at that. What is he trying to do? After opposing your coming to Red Stone, he himself came here,’ Drey remarked. ’How did he even know that Myra was here? Was he already aware?’
’We will have to ask him about his intentions,’ Dion said, his voice held a seriousness he hardly showed. With decisive steps, he made his way towards the building he saw in the picture, and the gossip the chatter also helped him in locating the place.
He stood outside the Architecture building. With a whiff, he could tell that Alaric wasn’t there anymore. He was about to follow his scent when he heard another set of group chit chatting, "Did you see that girl running frantically? Isn’t she the same one who is on the trending news? I think her eyes were reddened."
"I am feeling bad for her. Do you think Mr. Everests said something to her or did she somehow read all the hate comments about her spreading online?" another person said. Though their voices were muffled but he heard it all, loud and clear. His jaw tightened as he dashed in the said direction, his movements swift.

’Al, I didn’t sense any lie in Dion’s voice? Do you really think he took Myra with him?’ Alex questioned.
’Yes, she is with him,’ Alaric said confidently. His fists were clenching tightly as he was driving back to Myra’s house. ’I am sure of it.’
When he was searching for Myra, halfway through, the smell of her blood reached him as well, but when he arrived at the location, he found the place deserted. He didn’t even look around. But the smell of Myra’s blood mingled with the lingering Patchouli odor he was so familiar with told him what had happened.
He thought of calling or mind linking Dion immediately, but hesitated quite a few times. He thought that Dion would take Myra to the hotel. So, he drove all the way back to the Crown Opulence, but there was no trace of either him or Myra. That’s when he decided to make the call.
Alaric knew that at some point, Myra would return to her place, so he decided to wait for her there.

Meanwhile, Fabian’s phone has been buzzing nonstop. He was literally fed up and wanted to throw it into the lake. But when he checked the display, he pursed his lips and answered, his voice tight, ’Yes, Chris Shadow.’
’Young Master~ .... Something terrible has happened,’ a shaky voice told him.
