After school, Aurora bid farewell to Vespera, and had her driver drop her off at a restaurant. She packed a portion of sweet and sour fish, then headed to Heath’s place.

She unlocked the door and found Gloria cooking. Gloria was overjoyed to see her, “Miss Aurora, you’re back? Come in, I’ll call the boss for

dinner!”

Aurora was puzzled, “Doesn’t Heath usually come home for dinner?”

Gloria, with dishes in hand, said, “Not often. Since you moved out, he rarely comes home. Usually, Kieran gets his meals delivered to the

office.”

Gloria reached for her phone, but Aurora stopped her, “It’s fine, Gloria. I’ll call.”

With a cheerful grin, Gloria handed over her phone and returned to the kitchen. Aurora dialed and heard Kieran’s voice, “Gloria, I’ll swing by for the food later, have it packed.”

Aurora: “…Kieran.”

“Miss Aurora?” Kieran was stunned, and double–checked. It was indeed Gloria’s phone.

“Is Heath busy?” Aurora inquired.

Peering into the conference room at Heath, Kieran replied, “He’s in a meeting.”

“Oh… So he won’t be coming home for dinner?” she asked.

“Oh? No, he will! He’ll head home right after the meeting!” Kieran assured.

Regardless of whether he’s coming or not, the priority is to keep Miss Aurora around! He’s undoubtedly Mr. Fairbank’s closest confidante.

“Alright, tell him I’ve got sweet and sour fish for him, and ask him to come home early.” Aurora smiled.

“You got it! Don’t worry, Miss Aurora, I’ll pass the message!” With that, Kieran hung up and briskly walked into the conference room.

Heath wore a stern face, causing the next director reporting to tremble in fear, worried of getting scolded like the previous one.

The issue was, every critique from Heath hit the nail on the head, leaving them with no room to retort.

Kieran leaned close to Heath, whispering, “Boss, Miss Aurora is at the mansion.”

Heath blinked, “Who?”

Kieran: “…Miss Aurora, she’s at your home.”

Heath hesitantly asked, “What is she doing there?”

Scratching his head, Kieran said, “Seems like she’s waiting for you for dinner. She mentioned she got sweet and sour fish for you, urging

you to come home early.”

Heath’s eyes lit up. So, this young lady has taken the initiative to look for him?

The director finished reporting, anticipating a scolding, but Heath unexpectedly said, “Good, let’s wrap up today’s meeting.”

Heath stood up and strode out of the conference room, leaving the director relieved. Someone grabbed Kieran, asking, “Kieran, what’s with

the boss today?”

Kieran thought for a moment, “There’s a big situation at home. A big one!”

He wasn’t wrong. Miss Aurora was indeed Heath’s biggest concern.

Heath returned home, and as he changed shoes at the entrance, he heard Aurora’s bell–like laughter, chatting and laughing with Gloria.

He walked in, and Gloria said, “Sir, you’re back? Let’s have dinner, Miss Aurora has been waiting for a while.”

Heath approached Aurora, inquiring, “What brings you here?”

“I… I came to apologize!” she said, her head lowered.

“For what?” he asked.

Lifting her head, her bright eyes met his. After a pause, she clung to his shirt and said, “Let’s eat, I’m hungry!”

Heath sighed, smoothed her bangs, and said, “Let’s eat.”

Aurora smiled, knowing this meant they’d moved past her abrupt departure.

Heath understood Aurora’s girlish shyness. Some things were hard for her to voice, but he could say them for her.

While eating, Aurora mentioned, “Heath, I heard you gifted a race car to Alaric?”

He nodded, “Yes, what about it?”

‘I also want to watch a race. Can you take me?” she asked.

He glanced at her, “You came to see me just to watch a race?”

Aurora guiltily focused on her food, fearing he’d get angry for seeing through her,

‘Okay.” Heath suddenly agreed.

“Okay? You agree?” she was surprised.

“If you’re here to watch a race, I can have Alaric race every day. Whatever else you want to see, I’ll find a way,” he said.

Aurora’s cheeks turned red. So, as long as she took the initiative to see him, he’d agree to anything?

After dinner, Aurora handed over a script she found online to Heath, I want to adapt this into a drama, with Zane Strider as the male

lead.

Heath frowned, ‘Alaric’s brother?”

She nodded, ‘Yes, I think he’s the perfect fit.”

“Zane and Alaric are half–brothers. Although they were raised by the same mother, Zane is very rebellious. Even Alaric has a hard time handling him. If you want him for your drama, it might cause a lot of trouble,” Heath warned.

‘I’ll meet him first! There’s no animal I can’t tame!” Aurora asserted, clenching her fists.

Heath asked, “Did Alaric invite you to the race?”

Aurora: “…No, it’s my own wish, and also a chance to meet Zane.”

Heath remained silent, which made Aurora anxious. She quickly clarified, “Really! It’s my own wish!”

Heath nodded, “I understand.”

Aurora: “…”

Alaric, I tried! I slipped up!

Two days later, Heath drove Aurora to the racetrack. A group of young men and women were already gathered, frolicking around. Seeing Heath’s car approach, they cheered, “It’s rare for Heath to show up!”

Someone buttered up, “It’s all because Alaric is here, Otherwise, he wouldn’t hang out with us!”

Alaric awkwardly chuckled… It’s all because of the future Ms. Fairbank…

Indeed, as Heath stepped out of the car and opened the passenger door, out came the charming young lady, Aurora Pendleton.

A gasp went through the crowd. Everyone knew that Heath was indifferent to women, never bringing a companion to social events. Yet, here he was with a young lady.

Heath was dressed in casual grey, matching Aurora’s grey attire. Her high ponytail exuded a youthful energy.

Both wore sunglasses, appearing like a couple.

“Good to see you, Ms. Fairbank!” Alaric greeted as he approached.

Aurora: “…”

She had given up on changing Alaric’s way of addressing her.

Someone inquired, “Heath, won’t you introduce us? Whose daughter is this?”

“Didn’t you hear Alaric call her Ms. Fairbank? Have you no sense?”

The men joked around, while some women cast envious or jealous glances.

Heath was notoriously aloof in this circle. No matter how many women were presented to him, he never spared a glance.

Who would’ve thought, a young lady suddenly appeared by his side?
