She was so beautiful, yet her presence terrified Aurora.
Isabella Whitmore!
Aurora knew it! She was certain Isabella Whitmore would appear!
The proper–smiling woman was to Aurora no different from a venomous serpent.
She had personally cut her Achilles, disfigured her face, killed Mike before her, and shot through her heart!
After humiliating her like trash, she had discarded her in the Cambodian jungle to be devoured by wolves!
She had murdered Arnold! Killed Amy!
This woman was the root of her lifelong hatred!
And now, the enemy was in plain sight, so close that Aurora could rush through the crowd and end her with a knife from the dining table!
Aurora stood up abruptly, heading towards the buffet table, her mind and body overtaken by a wave of hatred; she couldn’t wait – she had to kill Isabella Whitmore now!
As Aurora’s hand touched the knife, her arm was sharply pulled back.
Turning around, she saw a waitress in a white mask holding her arm, who said, “Aurora, be calm.”
Aurora, startled, recognized her: “Carly?”
The waitress nodded, “Yes, it’s me. Jasper is over there.”
Carly signaled towards the entrance, and Aurora saw a man in waiter’s attire, nodding at her from behind a matching white mask.
“Why are you here?” Aurora whispered.
Carly, eyeing the knife in her hand, asked, “If we hadn’t come, would you have rushed into the crowd to kill Isabella Whitmore?”
Aurora’s grip on the knife faltered, “This is the best chance. I’m so close; I could succeed.”
Carly shook her head, “No, Aurora, Isabella is the fiancée of Dominic. Her guards are more numerous than we see. Maybe you wouldn’t even reach her before being caught.”
“What if I don’t try?” Aurora’s eyes darkened as she stared at Isabella in the crowd.
Carly tightened her grip on Aurora’s arm, “Aurora, if you fail, you’ll be captured, and once Isabella sees you, there’ll be no more chances. Don’t be rash; we’ll kill her.”
Aurora focused on Isabella’s figure, knowing Carly was right, yet the hatred made her want to grind Isabella to dust.

Chapter 133
‘Aurora, don’t ruin yourself over Isabella! Carly gently took the dining knife from Aurora’s hand, sighing in relief.
Aurora lowered her head, ‘I understand. I’ll control myself. You should leave; It’s dangerous here.”
Carly refused to leave, explaining she and Jasper were tracking someone there.
“Who? Aurora asked.
A minor drug lord, Luca, with personal vendettas we haven’t settled, and we’ve been trailing him for a long time,‘ Carly revealed.
“A drug lord? What’s he doing here?” Aurora pondered.
“He might be clandestinely cooperating with a businessman. As for who, we don’t care. We’re only after his life,” Carly stated, while handing Aurora a small handgun.
Aurora was stunned, “What’s this for?”
As Carly tucked the gun into Aurora’s purse, she questioned, “Do you know how to shoot? Did Olivia teach you?”
Aurora nodded, “She taught me a little.”
Carly zipped up the purse and handed it to Aurora, “Take this, and if a fight breaks out, run for it. Fight off anyone who tries to stop
you!”
Aurora was speechless.
Is this how bandits talk? “Stop me and face death“?
Aurora tucked the small clutch under her arm. It was meant for makeup and lipstick, but now it carried a hard, heavy gun.
“Will there be a fight?” Aurora asked.
“It’s hard to say,” Carly replied while surveying the area. “Luca brought quite a few bodyguards, and they might have noticed Jasper and me already.”
Aurora felt a twinge of worry, Carly patted her hand, “Alright, Jasper and I will make our rounds. Keep steady and don’t lay a hand on Isabella.”
Aurora nodded, “I understand, be careful.”
