Chapter 161
The next day, the servants packed Sophia’s luggage as she prepared to leave for the airport, destined for the United States.

Stepping out, Sophia encountered Aurora, dressed in a sharp business suit, ready for her studio. Sophia remembered then Aurora owned her own company, and all the hot new stars were under her wing.
Aurora glanced at them and continued walking, Jay already holding the car door open for her.
Sophia suddenly blurted out, “Aurora, I will be back!”
Aurora turned, a mocking smile on her face. Sophia looked haggard, her threat hardly intimidating. “Sophia, you’re going to the States because I spared you. Otherwise, you’d be in jail. Know your place,” she said coolly.
Sophia clenched her teeth, “Aurora! You stole my shares, my career, my life! I will come back for revenge!”
Aurora shook her head in exasperation, “Sophia, I’ve said it before I’ll take everything from you. Are you struggling already?”

Sophia screamed in frustration, unable to match Aurora’s cunning. Ever since Aurora stopped playing the fool, nothing had gone right for
her!
Madeline hugged Sophia, glaring at Aurora, “Don’t push it too far!”
Aurora’s smile vanished as she stepped closer to Madeline, “Too far? What’s ‘too far‘ compared to my mother’s death years ago?”
Madeline’s face stiffened, “What nonsense are you talking about?”
Aurora saw the truth in her eyes, casually warning, “Better keep an eye on your daughter. I won’t always be so lenient.”
As Aurora got into the car, Madeline broke out in a cold sweat. What did Aurora know?
Aurora, thinking of Madeline’s reaction, was certain she was involved in her mother’s death.
Jay, looking at Aurora through the rearview mirror, smiled, “You know, Aurora, you remind me of Olivia.”
Aurora replied with a half–smile, “We’re twins, so naturally.”
‘It’s not about looks,” Jay continued, “It’s your manner of speaking, especially when you’re angry. You’re quite similar,”
Aurora smiled faintly without replying. What could she say? That she really was Olivia?
Jay added, “But there are differences too.”
“Really? In what way?” Aurora inquired.
“Olivia is rather aloof, probably a result of our different upbringings. She’s close to us emotionally, but her eyes are always cold, especially around Heath,” Jay reminisced, glancing at Aurora through the rearview mirror and smiling. “But your eyes are warmer, especially when you look at Heath, they’re so gentle.”

Aurora was taken aback. Weren’t she and Olivia the same person? Could their eyes really look different?
Or had she changed in such an environment?

Even her gaze at Heath had softened, hadn’t it?
Recalling the morning’s antics with Heath in the bedroom, she felt a secret thrill.
When Jay dropped Aurora off at the company, Cheryl and others were already waiting in the meeting room. The New Year was approaching, and today they needed to briefly discuss next year’s plans.
As Aurora entered, Cheryl and Daxton greeted her, and Zane, in his lazy manner, barely lifted his eyes: “Good morning, Aurora.”
Aurora, still unaccustomed to Zane’s obedient demeanor, shivered slightly and replied, “Good morning.”
Opening the file, Aurora began the meeting: “For now, there’s not much work before the New Year, just a few appearances. After the New Year, Daxton, you’ll release a new album and hold a concert. I’ll arrange a music variety show for you. Any problems?”
Daxton shook his head: “No problems.”
Aurora turned to Cheryl and Zane: “Next year, you two will collaborate on a TV drama. I’m still selecting a script for the movie. Besides that, there’ll be variety shows and interviews.”
Zane wailed, “I have to work with Cheryl again??”
Aurora looked at him: “Any problem? Your collaboration on War Against Fate was well–received. While the heat is still on, we should shoot another. Don’t waste the fans‘ enthusiasm.”
Zane slumped onto the table: “But Cheryl always bullies me!”
Cheryl spread her hands innocently: “I didn’t bully you.”
“But you did hit me!” Zane protested.
Cheryl rolled her eyes: “That’s professional ethics as an actor. You can hit me back.”
Zane was speechless.
How could he, a man, bring himself to do that?
Aurora smiled helplessly: “Okay, that’s settled. I’ll send you the script for the TV drama later. Do well, and this could solidify your positions as top stars.”
Zane waved his hand and made an ‘OK‘ gesture: “I’ll win an award in no time.”
After what happened with Silas, he had completely lost his standing in the entertainment industry.
He had planned to just be a playboy at home, but after a recent fling with a model, he was beaten up by Thane. How was he supposed to know she was Thane’s girlfriend?

Thane, another well–known playboy, had never crossed paths with Silas before. Now, because of this incident, Silas had unwittingly made an enemy of the Fairbanks.
At this moment, Heath sat in the Song family’s living room, his legs crossed, hands resting on his knees, tapping rhythmically. His voice was low and detached: Mr. Song, have you decided?”
Silas’s father, unaware of his son’s grievance with the Fairbank family, was somewhat frightened. “Mr. Fairbank, this real estate project is just about to be developed, it’s the largest endeavor for the Song Corporation this year! I…”
Heath interrupted him, “I’ve said it: either hand over the land or Fairbank Corporation’s investment in Song Corporation ends today.”
Faced with the loss of such a huge project to Heath, Mr. Song knew bankruptcy was near. Gritting his teeth, he said, “Then it seems the Song Corporation isn’t destined to collaborate with the Fairbank Corporation.”
Heath’s eyes held a thin smile as he stood and left the Song residence.
Kieran placed a document in front of Mr. Song, “Here’s the breakdown of the penalty for breach of contract. Please settle it by tomorrow evening. Additionally, your son involved himself with Mr. Heath Fairbank’s nephew’s girlfriend and seems to have entangled himself in some criminal cases related to the Pendleton family, leaving behind quite a bit of evidence. Pursuing this could land him in prison for a few years. Mr. Fairbank has to seek some justice for his nephew. Youngsters‘ small fights are one thing, but the dignity of the Fairbank family isn’t easily settled. What do you think, Mr. Song?”
Upon hearing this, Silas’s father panicked, fearing Heath would imprison his son. “We can still talk about the project! Please, not my son!”
Kieran smiled, “Mr. Song, Mr. Heath Fairbank’s time is precious, not meant for your indecisiveness. You better control your son. This time,
he’s crossed the line.”
After Kieran left, Mr. Song collapsed on the sofa, knowing that Heath’s threat to imprison his son was not just a bluff.
