Saturday night saw Zane and Cheryl live–streaming their gaming session, setting a new record for the day’s stream views and hitting the trending list again.

Sunday night was even more eventful. Zane, embracing his adventurous side, shared a cosplay of a character from the game, causing a frenzy among female fans and trending yet again.

Come Monday, Fairview Media received an email from the “Sword Immortal” online game developers, seeking a detailed discussion about a potential game endorsement.

Aurora, accompanied by Zane and Cheryl, visited the gaming company. Their striking looks, soaring popularity, passion, and understanding of the game, coupled with their fresh status in the industry, secured them the endorsement deal with an overwhelming advantage. After all, hiring both Cheryl and Zane cost less than engaging Evelyn alone.

Although Evelyn was a senior figure, her recent exposure couldn’t match that of Cheryl and Zane.

Aurora promptly signed the contract. The game company, particularly impressed with Zane’s cosplay, introduced two new NPCs (Non- Player Characters) modeled after Zane and Cheryl’s facial features. These NPCs were placed at the very end of the main questline, meaning players would have to complete all game segments to encounter these characters.

Three days later, “Sword Immortal” Online Games Ltd. officially announced Zane and Cheryl as their game ambassadors, releasing a video featuring them and even unveiling the ultimate game settings including their characters. The news instantly trended on social media.

Alaric and Cheryl had already made a strong impression with their skilled and synergistic gameplay in their live streams, so their game endorsement felt natural and well–deserved.

Their game avatars, beautifully designed, earned unanimous praise from gaming enthusiasts.

Videos of Zane and Cheryl were widely shared by their fans online, propelling “Sword Immortal” into the top three most anticipated games, eagerly awaited by the gaming community.

This first game endorsement by Cheryl and Zane was a resounding success, boosting their fame and reputation in the entertainment industry.

Aurora knew she had won this round.

As the New Year approached and the endorsement deals were settled, Fairview Media went on holiday, and Cheryl returned to Seaview for

the New Year.

Aurora spent her days shopping and chatting with Vespera or keeping her grandfather company. She hadn’t seen Heath for a while. As the holiday season neared, while everyone else was on leave, Heath seemed busier.

On New Year’s Eve, the Pendleton family gathered at the grandfather’s house for dinner, a tradition. However, this year, without Sophia and no word from the grandfather, nobody dared to invite Sophia back.

When Sebastian’s family arrived, Aurora, who was watching TV with her grandfather, broke the awkward silence by saying, “I’ll go check on the New Year’s Eve dinner,” to which her grandfather nodded in approval.

Finding no sign of Aurora in the kitchen, Evelyn then proceeded to the garden, where Aurora was sitting outside, happily chatting on her

As Evelyn approached, Aurora promptly put away her phone. Evelyn snorted, “Who are you messing around with now?”

Aurora replied with a smile, “Could be anyone. Maybe Sophia’s Ethan, or perhaps one of your own sweethearts, big sister.”

The mention of this irritated Evelyn. Their hard efforts to arrange Sophia’s marriage had not only fallen through but also resulted in the loss of Silas. This had strained relations with the Song family, impacting both the Pendleton Corporation and Evelyn Media.

“But frankly, I don’t fancy Ethan. The thought of Sophia’s leftovers is quite repulsive,” Aurora remarked disdainfully.

“You had the audacity to send Sophia abroad and yet speak such words?” Evelyn accused her.

“Why shouldn’t I? After all, I let her escape abroad; otherwise, she’d be in jail like Silas!” retorted Aurora, raising her eyebrows at Evelyn.

Evelyn glared at her, “Aurora, are you intent on fighting us to the death?”

“Not necessarily. But, big sister, if you tell me how my mother died, I might consider letting Sophia return,” Aurora suggested.

“Your mother?” Evelyn was taken aback. “What does that have to do with us?”

Aurora replied with a resigned smile, “Sophia claimed she knew the truth about my mother’s death. If she knows, then you all must know too. Since no one’s willing to tell me, I can only assume you were involved in her death. And for a mother’s murder, a fight to the death is

only fitting!”

“You’re insane, Aurora!” Evelyn shouted. “You want to destroy us over some baseless accusation?”

Aurora shook her head, “I’m not insane. For now, I’m just driving you all out one by one. But if I find even the slightest connection between you and my mother’s death, then I will truly seek your demise.”

Aurora’s gaze was chilling. Evelyn, intimidated, raised her hand to strike her, but Aurora caught it effortlessly. Smiling innocently, Aurora said, “Big sister, don’t be hasty. Look at Sophia, always getting physical with me, and now she’s exiled to America, never to return.”

A servant approached, respectfully announcing, “Madams, Grandpa calls for dinner.”

The servants dared not pry into the family’s affairs, especially given Aurora’s notorious haughtiness and Evelyn’s typically kind but equally formidable nature.

Aurora released Evelyn’s hand, wiping hers on her clothes in distaste, and told the servant, “Understood, let’s go.”
