Me And My Billionaire Husband (Aurora and Heath) novel Chapter 229

Chapter 229

Two towering and handsome men brawling at the hospital entrance left bystanders in shock.

Heath threw just one punch before stopping. Eamon, with a rapidly bruising corner of his mouth, lay on the ground, coughing twice before exhaling and saying, I knew it. I had to get beaten by you.

He and Heath were like brothers in arms. Eamon knew Heath wouldn’t seriously hurt him over this. But he was also aware that his endangerment of Aurora wouldn’t go unanswered by Heath.

If Heath had looked on indifferently, it would mean utter disappointment, signaling the end of their brotherhood. But Heath’s fight was the rage of a man pained by the peril of his woman.

Eamon regretted his suspicion and disdain towards Aurora. It was unforgivable to have used her in a moment of folly that went against a man’s principles.

Moreover, the bullet Aurora fired had saved Eamon. Otherwise, he would be the one lying in the hospital bed today.

He deserved this punch for his stupidity.

Heath extended a hand, saying, Next time, it won’t just be a punch.

Eamon, smiling through the pain that tugged at his injured mouth, grasped Heath’s hand. Heath pulled him up and let go abruptly, asking, Why are you here?

Touching his bruised lip, Eamon grimaced, You really hit hard. That punch will leave a mark.

Heath rolled his eyes, Enough talk. Why are you here?

Eamon, scratching his head awkwardly, asked, How is Aurora doing?

After another punch from Heath, Eamon rubbed his shoulder, saying, Okay, do I need to beg for forgiveness now?

Heath, walking ahead, replied, She’s fine, just lost a lot of blood.

Eamon sighed in relief, That’s good to hear.

On his way back with food he had to go far to buy, Eamon hesitated before saying, Heath, although it was wrong of me to involve her, isn’t Aurora’s shooting a bit too precise?

After all, Aurora had, in front of Eamon, shot dead the man aiming at him.

If Aurora hadn’t rushed to take the bullet, fearing for Heath’s safety, Eamon believed she could have taken down another.

Without stopping, Heath replied indifferently, So what?

So? How does a sheltered young lady have such skill in shooting?Eamon’s suppressed doubts resurfaced, And that blonde woman who was supposed to tie her up in the bathroom ended up knocked senseless and locked inside by her. Aurora even jumped from the second floor and called the police.

Heath frowned, Aurora called the cops?

Yes! Eamon nodded, But when the police arrived, we had just caught William.

Heath remained silent, continuing towards the hospital. Eamon, growing anxious, followed, Heath, did you hear me? I

🙂)

Eamon,Heath stopped and turned, his gaze fixed on Eamon, I’ll say this once and only once. Aurora is my person. I don’t care how much you doubt her; don’t think about going against her. Even if one day she stands as my enemy, it should be me dealing with her, not

you.

Indeed, Heath and Eamon were true brothers, having faced life and death together. But Heath knew, if it were Eamon’s woman in question, he would react just as furiously.

Because they were brothers, they could get angry, fight fiercely, but they never wanted to reach a point of irreconcilable conflict.

Heath entered the elevator and glanced at Eamon, asking, Coming in?

Eamon hesitated for a moment before nodding, Yeah, coming.

Once upstairs, Heath, carrying the porridge, entered Aurora’s hospital room. Her face lit up with a happy smile upon seeing him return. You’re back.

Heath nodded, gently helping Aurora sit up. Unable to move her arm due to a shoulder wound, Heath carefully opened the container and began spoonfeeding her, cooling each spoonful of the steaming porridge.

Eamon entered and observed Heath’s back. Having known him for years, he was familiar only with Heath’s decisive and ruthless side. Today, seeing him meticulously cooling the hot porridge, enveloped in steam, Heath seemed entirely different from his usual self.

Eamon inwardly sighed, realizing Aurora was indeed Heath’s destined nemesis.

When Aurora noticed Eamon’s entrance, she offered a distant smile, Hello, Eamon.

Eamon nodded slightly, Aurora, how are you feeling?

Aurora shook her head, It’s not a vital hit, I’m fine.

Heath, without sparing Eamon a glance, said, Eat your porridge.

Aurora obediently turned and began sipping the porridge Heath fed her, ignoring Eamon,

Aurora wasn’t naive. The things she hadn’t understood last night were now clear. The previous night’s situation was obviously not a simple business meeting at a bar. It was a dangerous place, teeming with guns and intent to kill.

Yet, when she asked Eamon for the location, he told her without hesitation or warning.

She didn’t mind taking a bullet for Heath or facing dangers with him. What bothered her was Eamon treating her like a fool, luring her into that situation.

If Eamon had such a grievance against her, he might as well have confronted her directly, rather than resorting to such roundabout

tactics.

Heath and Aurora ate together she would insist on meat over vegetables, playing up her injured status. No, no, I want the meat, she’d

assert.

But the doctor said you should eat light food,Heath insisted, scooping up vegetables.

I don’t want that, I want the meat, she persisted, using her wounded state to her advantage.

Eamon felt utterly superfluous

After the prolonged meal, Eamon couldn’t bear to stay longer. I’m leaving now, I’ll visit some other time.

Heath responded languidly, No need for some other time. You don’t have to come at all.

Eamon:

Heath was truly the most grudgeholding, sharptongued man he had ever met!

After three days in the hospital, Aurora couldn’t stand it anymore. She had never been hospitalized in her previous life; she would treat her injuries and continue training. Only in this life did she realize how stifling hospitals were.

Unable to resist her, Heath handled her discharge procedures and took her back to the hotel.

Due to her shoulder injury, Heath had been feeding her these past few days. If Aurora hadn’t protested vehemently, Heath might have even helped her bathe.

Aurora insisted on meeting Ms. Luce again. Dual Facades was just a book, and if it were to be adapted into a movie, they needed a complete script. The best candidate for this task was Ms. Luce.

Inheriting her father’s writing talent, Ms. Luce was a wellknown author worldwide. With her modifications, the movie was bound to be perfect.

Heath accompanied Aurora to Ms. Luce’s house. The servant, familiar with them, greeted them with a smile and invited them in.
