“Eamon! It wasn’t me! I haven’t been able to contact him for days!” Aurora shouted.

Eamon approached, pressing the muzzle of his gun against Aurora’s forehead, saying, “I’m giving you one last chance. Are you going to

talk or not?”

Aurora’s expression turned cold, and she signaled Jay with her eyes. Jay charged at Eamon, allowing Aurora to grab Eamon by the neck

with her gloved hand, tightening a rope around his throat and kicking the pistol out of his hand.

Jay, quick to react, picked up the gun and pointed it at Eamon’s head, instantly reversing the situation. Eamon had indeed underestimated

them, thinking that simply binding them would be enough.

“Eamon, I don’t want to hurt you. Let your people release us!” Aurora demanded.

“Never! After everything Heath has done for you, this is how you repay him? By lying and deceiving him all this time! You’re

unbelievable!” Eamon cursed.

Jay hit Eamon on the head with the gun, saying, “Are you stupid? Olivia is already dead. Aurora is a daughter of the Pendletons, Olivia’s

twin sister!”

Eamon was taken aback, immediately retorting, “Impossible! Don’t try to fool me!”

Aurora, frustrated, yelled, “I don’t wanna explain! Untie me! I’ll find Heath myself!”

With Jay’s gun still pointed at his head, Eamon had no choice but to order his men to release them.

Aurora flexed her wrists, looking at Eamon’s resentful eyes, and sighed helplessly, “Eamon, I didn’t kidnap him. I’m gonna find him myself now. You can have someone follow me if you want. I hope you find him quickly!”

Aurora, with Jay in tow, only realized upon leaving that they hadn’t merely been unconscious for a moment; they had been out for an entire day. In that time, Eamon had somehow transported them all the way to LA.

Aurora sighed, asking, “Where are Jasper and Carly?”

Jay shook his head, ‘I don’t know. I need a computer to get in touch with them.”

Nodding, Aurora found a hotel for them, borrowed a computer, and they finally got down to business.

Jay managed to contact Jasper, urging them to come quickly, while Aurora located Kieran, who was still laid up in the hospital.

After returning the computer, Aurora decided to visit the hospital first. Kieran, who had been involved in the incident with Heath, must know what happened.

Chapter 285

Upon arrival, the doctor informed them that Kieran had broken a rib and been shot, suffering from excessive blood loss and had been unconscious until he woke up today, before Eamon’s people could be notified.

Entering his room, Aurora saw Kieran’s startled look, his eyes carrying a hint of estrangement. “Miss Aurora, what brings you here?”

Aurora, understanding from his reaction, guessed that Heath must also know what Eamon had discovered–it was a matter of belief.

Sitting by the bed, she said, “I’m here for Heath. Do you remember what happened that day?”

Kieran nodded, then hesitated. He remembered but was unsure if he should tell Aurora first.

Aurora sighed, “Kieran, trust me. I would never harm Heath. Once I find him, I will explain everything to everyone!”

After a long look into her eyes, Kieran finally decided. “It was that drug dealer… Luca’s men, the one killed at the estate. I remember one

of his henchmen. I saw him.”

Aurora was startled. Heath was taken by drug dealers? What were they planning to do with him–or what had they already done?

Standing to leave and find Jay, Kieran suddenly stopped her, “Miss Aurora, I’ve always trusted you. You’ll bring the boss back, right?”

Aurora nodded, her eyes firmer than ever, “Of course, I will bring him back.”

If she couldn’t, Aurora didn’t know where to place the heart she’d so reluctantly given, nor how to live the peaceful life Heath had

promised her.
