Me And My Billionaire Husband
Chapter 287
As soon as she touched down, Aurora, relying on the intelligence she had previously acquired, conducted another sweep and quickly pinpointed the location of Heath. There was only one stronghold that had recently seen increased activity and bolstered security.
Aurora sent Jay to the black market to purchase firearms. He grabbed her arm, questioning, “What are you planning to do? You’re not just
going to walk into their den like that, are you?”
With her head down, she inspected the gun in her hands, nodding as she replied, “Yes, is there a problem?”
“Is there not a problem? With your small frame, you’ll be chewed up and spat out. Do you think this is a movie?” Jay shouted in alarm.
Aurora holstered the gun at the small of her back and tucked a miniature pistol into her boot. Clad in black tight pants and a dark red
leather jacket adorned with a vibrant rose on the chest, she let down her hair, letting it flow seductively down her back.
She flicked her hair and declared, “Since even you think I’m Olivia, I might as well act like her for once. These people have been doing business in the U.S. for so long; they must have heard of Olivia’s name, right?”
“That’s true, but you’re not Olivia! If something goes wrong, how do I explain it to Jasper and the others?” Jay paced anxiously around the
room.
The dart in Aurora’s hand reflected a dazzling light. With a flick of her wrist, it found its mark on the wall. She donned half a black mask,
revealing her red lips curled into a smile as she stated, “Now, I am Olivia.”
She grasped Jay’s arm and said, “I can’t wait for Jasper and the others. Stay here for their arrival and come support me once they’re all set.
Jay, Heath is in there; I have to go.”
Aurora’s gaze was resolute, mirroring the unyielding and unquestionable Olivia who once commanded them.
Exiting the door, she mounted a newly acquired motorcycle and sped off, leaving Jay with a worry he had never felt before. If anything happened to Aurora, none of them would have the courage to face Olivia.
The motorcycle roared through the woods, leading to the stronghold beyond. It was nestled among a few rows of civilian houses, with hills, canyons, and rivers at the back, and a forest at the front–a position that was easy to defend but hard to attack.
Two men patrolled the entrance with guns. Aurora sped towards them on her motorcycle, stopping just in time before they could fire. She dismounted, and with a thud, Heath collapsed to the ground. Dusting herself off, she said, “I’m here to see your boss.”
One of the men sized her up, hesitating as he wasn’t sure what to make of a lone young woman approaching their place. The other, with his gun pointed at Aurora, sneered, “Who the hell are you?”
Aurora smiled, her lips curling into a bloodthirsty and enchanting grin. She crooked her finger, beckoning the man to approach. As he did, she yanked the gun from his grip, smashing him on the head with the butt, leaving a trail of crimson. With the gun to his temple, she told the other man, ‘Go tell your boss that assassin Olivia is here to discuss business.”

Chapter 287
The man rushed inside, and soon a group of people, led by a bald man, emerged. Seeing Aurora with a gun by her motorcycle, he asked,
“So you must be Olivia?”
She replied, ‘Since you’ve heard of me, I’ll get straight to the point. Do you know Jess, the arms dealer from Europe?”
The bald man nodded, “I do. What kind of business are you proposing?”
I’ll intercept his shipment. You get the goods, and I get the person.” She had never met this Jess, only heard of him. Fabricating a deal
was the only way to infiltrate their ranks.
The bald man squinted at her, considering the enticing offer. Olivia was a top–tier international assassin; having her on board would
almost guarantee success. But it was odd for a masked woman to suddenly show up and propose cooperation, wasn’t it?
He asked, “How do I know you’re Olivia?”
Aurora smirked and said, “You don’t need to trick me. Even if I took off the mask, you wouldn’t recognize me because you’ve never met
me.”
The bald man was taken aback, then asked, “How do you prove you’re Olivia?”

With a swift motion, Aurora pushed the man aside, aimed her gun at the bald man. Several others immediately aimed their guns at her,
but he waved them down hesitantly.
“Bang!” She fired, taking down a fruit hanging from a tree behind the bald man, her shot cold and precise.
Her face expressionless, she said, “If you’re in, let’s work together. If not, let’s not waste any more words.”
The bald man was momentarily stunned, then burst into laughter, “How could we refuse the presence of Olivia? Let’s work together!”
Holstering her gun, Aurora sashayed in, her boots clicking as she confidently entered.
The bald man, it seemed, was the boss here. Once he regarded her as a partner, he treated her with respect, even cleaning out a private
room for them to discuss their battle plans in detail.
Aurora settled in, discreetly gathering information. She learned that the bald man was Luca’s brother, Ludi. After Luca’s death, Ludi had
been furious, vowing to tear Eamon limb from limb. But Eamon, born into a military and political family and commanding an entire base’s
worth of troops with tight security, was untouchable. Unable to capture Eamon, Ludi settled for apprehending Heath, waiting for him to
reveal Eamon’s whereabouts.
After a full day of wandering, Aurora finally located where Heath was held. He was in the last house, and any attempt to escape would require passing through all the preceding houses to reach the town via the forest. If he tried to flee in the opposite direction, it would
lead him deeper into the wilderness, offering no chance of survival.
Aurora casually inquired, “Who lives there?”

Ludi gritted his teeth, There, resides my prisoner! Would you like to take a look?”
She smiled and replied, “Sure, why not? I’ve got nothing but time.”

Ludi had the door opened and led Aurora inside. The room had but a small window, sunlight streaming in to illuminate the man lying in
the corner.
He was dressed in black trousers, his white shirt stained with large patches of blood, his once meticulously groomed hair now disheveled.
This man, who should have been as regal as a deity, always appearing as a sovereign king, was now dragged through the mud, covered in
filthy dust.
Yet, Aurora still found him damnably sexy and charming.
