Jasper was taken aback and grabbed Jay, demanding, “What are you talking about? You let her go to the base alone? Is she reckless, or are you? Haven’t you been on a mission before?”

Jay covered his head and said, “I know, I know! I couldn’t stop her! We didn’t have any other options!”

Carly pulled Jasper away and asked, “Alright, let’s get the situation under control and rescue Aurora as soon as possible. Jay, how did

Aurora get in?”

Jay sat down with them and explained, “She disguised herself as Olivia, pretending to negotiate business to get inside.”

Carly smiled and said, “That’s pretty smart. As long as Aurora doesn’t slip up, we’re good.”

Jay handed them the guns and clarified Aurora’s plan. The three of them were discussing how to rescue Aurora when the door suddenly burst open.

Quick on their feet, they stood up, chambered their guns, and aimed at the door. Eamon entered with his men and asked, “Where is

Olivia?”

Jay was about to explode, cursing, “Can’t you stop messing around? Aurora risked her life to save your boss, by going into the base alone. Instead of rescuing her, you’re here causing trouble. If I were Heath, I’d be driven mad by you!”

Eamon’s face was cold as he said, “Heath goes missing, and Olivia disappears right after. Who would believe she has nothing to do with

this?”

Jay, furious, charged at him, saying, “I might as well just shoot you right now!”

Eamon’s men immediately aimed their guns at Jay. Jasper held him back, saying, “Don’t be impulsive. Rescuing Aurora is what’s important.”

Carly slowly raised her hands, signaling her intent to give up, and put down her gun, saying, “Sir, you want to save Heath, and we want to save Aurora. Since they’re both being held together, how about we cooperate?”

Eamon frowned and said, “Cooperate? With you assassins?”

Carly smiled and said, “It’s just about sharing resources. We’ll part ways immediately after rescuing them. There are only three of us here; if we have any ill intentions, you can shoot us on the spot. Otherwise, if we keep at this stalemate, Heath could be in increasing danger.”

Eamon thought for a moment, then signaled his men to stand down. He said, “Fine, we’ll cooperate for now. After we rescue them, we’ll

settle the score.

True to his word, Eamon agreed to cooperate and shared the photos and blueprints he had, saying, “Ludi probably targeted Heath because of what happened to Luca. Here’s an aerial view of their base, captured by a drone.”

“If it’s about revenge, they could have just killed Heath on the spot or executed him. Why go through the trouble of bringing him all the way from Los Angeles to Cambodia?” Carly said.

It’s probably not about seeking revenge on Heath, but rather on Eamon. Heath is just a scapegoat. Jasper added.

Jay scoffed, saying, ‘So it’s your mess that’s causing Heath to suffer, and even Aurora gets dragged into it. You’re lucky Aurora didn’t punch you when you arrested her…”

Eamon: “…”

Jasper pulled Jay aside, saying, “Alright, our priority is to familiarize ourselves with the terrain and get in there to rescue them.”

Eamon nodded, saying, “This place is easy to defend but hard to attack. As soon as we cross the woods, we’ll be spotted by the patrols. The area is too small; using explosives might affect Heath.”

Jasper furrowed his brows and said, “Currently, using explosives is the most feasible option. We can deploy small bombs to create chaos and then rush in to rescue them. If we act suddenly, the enemy will be too busy escaping to take Aurora and the others with them.”

Eamon nodded, saying, “Then I’ll need to use a drone to confirm Heath’s location again to avoid them being affected by the explosion, so we can determine the drop location.”
