Aurora, with a mischievous smile, replied, ‘I said I was Olivia, and they let me in. I’m an award winning actress, after all. My acting is top–notch!

Heath managed a smile, which pained him due to his injuries, and coughed, saying, “You should leave.”

Aurora, pained by the sight of Heath’s wounds, smiled and said, “Heath, you proposed to me. You can’t just leave me behind.

Heath opened his mouth to respond when the door suddenly opened, and a man entered, saying, “Miss Olivia, the boss wants to see you.”

Aurora resumed her cold demeanor, stood up, and walked out.

She was led to a large hall nearby, where Rudi was waiting for her.

“What do you want?” Aurora asked.

“Miss Olivia, you seem quite interested in Mr. Fairbank, aren’t you?” Rudi inquired.

Aurora chuckled, “So now you’re monitoring whom I’m interested in?”

Rudi laughed, “I wouldn’t dare. But it’s unusual to hear that the infamous Olivia is fond of men!”

Aurora, face cold, remained silent, prompting Rudi to continue, “Miss Olivia, you’ve been here a while now. When do you plan to head to Europe?”

Aurora looked at him and said, “As soon as you’ve dealt with this mess, I’m ready to leave.”

Rudi slowly approached, standing before Aurora, and said, “Or perhaps, before we depart, you could grant us the honor of seeing your true face?”

Aurora’s expression turned icy, “Rudi, you know the rules. If you see my face and I end up wanted tomorrow, I’ll come back and kill you myself!”

Rudi smiled, “No worries. I just need to confirm that Olivia isn’t one of Mr. Fairbank’s acquaintances!”

Though Rudi smiled, his gaze had shifted, no longer showing the respect he had before..

Aurora squinted, ‘Mr. Fairbank’s acquaintances? Does he have women around him?”

Rudi smiled, ‘Of course. It’s said that Mr. Fairbank has someone very dear to him. I wonder if you might be interested?”

Aurora sneered, ‘I’m not interested. The men I fancy become mine!”

Rudi presented a photo, placing it on the table, “This woman, Aurora Pendleton, is also stunning. How do you compare?”

Aurora glanced at the photo on the table, which captured her and Heath holding hands and walking together in the States, a moment she didn’t recall being photographed.

She examined the photo briefly before discarding it aside, dismissing it as “trivial beauty.”

Rudi smirked and clapped, prompting two men to drag Heath in and throw him at Aurora’s feet.

“What’s this for?” Aurora asked coldly.

Rudi, with a smile, said, ‘Nothing much. Since you claim to be unacquainted with Mr. Fairbank, why not execute him today? After all, there are plenty of handsome men. I can find you another.”

Aurora, legs crossed and exuding allure, quirked her lips into a slight smile, “What if I say I fancy this one?”

Rudi cocked his handgun and aimed at Heath, stating, “Miss Olivia, remove your mask, and I’ll leave him to you. Otherwise, I’ll have no choice but to kill

him.”

Heath seemed unfazed by the gun pointed at him.

Aurora clenched her fists and said coldly, “Fine, kill him then.”

Rudi chuckled sinisterly, looking at Heath, “Mr. Fairbank, consider this a head start. I’ll soon kill Eamon…”

At that moment, Heath slowly turned his head towards Aurora. His deep, ocean–like eyes held no accusation, no anger, only tender affection and sweetness. He mouthed something blurry, but Aurora understood clearly: “I love you.”

In this dire situation, with no way out, Aurora maintained her denial, hoping for a chance to escape.

In his last moments, Heath didn’t care about her identity or motives. His heart was filled with their warm yet brief memories, harboring only the regret that

he couldn’t protect her anymore.

“Stop! Aurora shouted.

Rudi turned to Aurora, asking, “Changed your mind, Miss Olivia?”

Aurora glanced at Heath, her determination evident. Heath’s expression stiffened for a moment, realizing what she was about to do, but before he could speak, Aurora removed her mask.

Heath wished he could scold her for her foolishness. Did she think removing the mask could save them? This would only enrage Rudi further.

“You wanted to see my face? Here it is,‘ she said, smiling.

Rudi, seeing Aurora’s face, identical to the woman in the photo, asked, ‘Who are you, really?”

Aurora smiled captivatingly, her confidence unshaken, ‘I’ve ‘told you, Rudi. I’m Olivia, the one who terrifies your kind!”

Rudi scoffed, “You claim to be Olivia? Even with this photo, you think you can fool me?”

Aurora laughed, her eyes softening as she looked at Heath, “A female assassin falls for a domineering CEO. Is that so wrong? I’ve retired and left that life

behind.”

Rudi sneered, “Leaving should mean leaving for good. Coming back is a dead end! Seize them!”

Men rushed in, restraining Aurora and forcing her into a seat, with Heath, covered in wounds, at her feet.

Aurora struggled, but it was in vain against the strength of the burly men holding her down.

Rudi paused, asking. What did you say?”

Heath’s head snapped up to look at Aurora, thinking, what madness is she spouting? Did she not realize Rudi might just shoot her on the spot?
