Eamon demanded furiously, “Where’s Rudi? Interrogate him! The moment you find out where Rudi is, report to me immediately!”
Heath and Aurora had disappeared, along with Rudi and several of his elite men–none were to be seen, an ominous sign.

Finally, after personally conducting the interrogation all night and nearly exhausting all means, someone cracked, revealing that Rudi had taken a few men into the jungle in pursuit of Aurora and Heath.
Jasper, with a cold expression, remarked, “The jungle is vast and endless. It’s easy to enter but hard to leave. Rudi actually dared to lead people in pursuit?”
Jay looked coldly at Eamon and said, “The person who confessed said that Aurora admitted herself that she killed Luca. If it weren’t for our throwing the bomb, Rudi would have shot Aurora dead by now. Eamon is always suspicious of Aurora. If Aurora really had ill intentions towards Heath, why would she put herself in such a deadly situation?
Eamon sneered, ‘Perhaps your Miss Aurora wants to keep Heath useful, huh?”
Jay was furious.
Jasper held him back, “Let it go. Let’s save them first.”
Carly nodded, looking at the map and saying, “Both Aurora and Heath are injured. Logically, they shouldn’t be able to go far. We have more people; let’s go in together to find them. We must find them before Rudi does.”
Eamon immediately divided the people into three teams, with Jasper’s trio forming one team. All four teams set off at dawn to search the woods for Heath
and Aurora.
As dawn broke, Aurora woke up groggily to find Heath burning with fever.
She tested his temperature and inspected his wound, which had festered. The damp environment had caused his wound to become infected and inflamed.
Heath was feverish, and without treatment, his life was in jeopardy.
She helped Heath up, called out to him, and though he frowned, he couldn’t open his eyes. Aurora went out to gather some herbs, hastily treated his wound,
but then heard voices outside.
Two men were speaking loudly, probably assuming that Aurora and Heath had already been fed to the wolves, and were displeased about being sent to
search.
Aurora was alarmed. If these men could find this place, they were close to finding them, and Heath was utterly defenseless.
Aurora took out her pistol, left with only four bullets. In the rush earlier, there was no time to grab a magazine.
Even with just four bullets, she had to go out and draw these men away. As long as Heath was safe, she could hold on.
Aurora smeared mud from the ground on her face as camouflage, ready to rise with her knife whon suddenly her arm was grasped.
Turning, she saw Heath, the man who had been unconscious for a day and a night, now looking at her intently, saying, ‘Go! Quickly!”
Aurora smiled, her face unclean for days and now covered in mud, yet her smile remained sweet and lovely.
Heath’s gaze was sharp, as if piercing through her, using all his strength to hold onto Aurora, staring intently at her, he said word by word, “Rory! Go!

Chapter 295
Quickly!
If Aurora truly was Olivia, if she was indeed strong and fearsome, then Heath wished that without him as a burden, Aurora could easily leave this place and, from then on, truly retire and live a carefree life.
Who she was didn’t matter anymore, as long as she was alive.
Aurora recoiled like a cat and snuggled up in front of Heath. Her beautiful eyes twinkled as she smiled, yet tears fell from her eyes, mingling with the mud on her face, making her look like a little calico cat.
Sniffling, Aurora said, “Heath, you’re finally awake…”
Heath clutched Aurora’s arm with such strength it felt as if he might crush her bones. He urged, ‘Go! Quickly!”
Aurora shook her head in a playful defiance, stubbornly holding her head high, “I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying right here.”
“Heath!” he glared at her.
Aurora leaned in and pecked Heath on the face, reassuring him, “I’m here. Wait for me to come back.”
She wriggled out of Heath’s grasp and crouched out of the cave.
Not far away, two burly men chatted as they walked, guns in hand, oblivious to the cave nearby.
Aurora moved to the back, found a densely leafed tree, and climbed it with practiced ease.
Having not eaten or rested properly for days, her strength waned, her footing slipped, nearly causing her to fall.
Steadying herself, Aurora perched on the tree trunk, watching as the two men edged closer to the cave. If luck was on her side, they might pass without noticing the branches piled at the cave’s entrance. If not, they could discover the severely injured Heath.
Aurora steadied herself, pistol in hand, ready to fire without hesitation if the men approached the cave, unconcerned if their comrades heard the gunshot.
The leaves obstructed her view. With a Barrett sniper rifle, she’d be confident of success, but she only had her unreliable pistol and four desperate bullets.
The men passed by, playfully jostling each other. One pushed his companion, causing him to stumble into the, branches and roll into the cave.
Aurora’s heart stopped. She slid down from the tree, rushed to the cave entrance, where darkness enveloped everything, miraculously concealing Heath from
the men’s view.
Without hesitation, Aurora fired, hitting one man in the shoulder. Her aim was off due to exhaustion and lack of a proper sight, missing a lethal shot but it was enough to down him.
The other reacted quickly, returning fire towards the cave entrance. Bullets whizzed by, nearly grazing Aurora’s face. Had she not retreated swiftly after firing, her head might have been pierced.
Aurora considered rushing in; if the man moved further into the cave and adapted to the dark, he’d spot Heath immediately.
Crouching, she moved along the wall, pounced on the man, intending to use her knife. But Aurora was too weak; her strength negligible against the well–fed
man.

Chapter 295
He grabbed Aurora’s shoulder, threw her over his shoulder, and she hit the ground hard, curling up in pain, feeling as though her insides were shattered.
The man, furious, grabbed her neck, and upon seeing Aurora’s face, stepped on her, drawing his gun. Before he could shoot, Heath, cornered and feverish, lunged out, tackling the man to the ground.
Heath’s eyes were bloodshot, his body feverish from infection, using his last ounce of strength. The man was briefly stunned before quickly overpowering
Heath.
Aurora grabbed the gun and shot the man in the back, causing him to collapse. Dragging the man away, she looked back at Heath, dumbfounded.
A sharp knife protruded from Heath’s abdomen, gleaming menacingly in the dim light from outside the cave, a sight painfully bright to Aurora.
