Chapter 35
:
By the time the sun set, Aurora was completely drained. Lyne called it a day. Wiping his sweat, he said, “That’s enough for today.”
Aurora lay on the ground and said, “Toss me a towel.”
Lyne looked at the frail young girl and threw her a towel. “You don’t look like a heiress from a wealthy family. Why are you pushing yourself so hard?”
Aurora cracked a smile, wiping the sweat off her face. “I don’t have the luxury of being a princess. If I’m weak, I won’t survive.”
Lyne sat down beside her, shaking his head. “You’re a girl, you should go easy on yourself. You’re training like you’re a guy.”
Aurora didn’t respond. She should have been like a guy from the start. If she hadn’t let her heart and emotions get the best of her, she wouldn’t be in this mess now.
Aurora stood up, gathered her things, and said, “I’m heading out. See you next time.”
Lyne waved her off, too tired to move. This girl, clearly exhausted multiple times, still insisted on standing up to fight. He couldn’t fathom why she was pushing herself to such extremes.

Aurora took a cab back to the Pendleton residence. As she walked into the mansion, Maxwell was alone in the living room, still busy with work.
Seeing Aurora return, he called out to her, “Aurora, where have you been? You look like you’ve been through the wringer.”
Aurora glanced at herself, still in her workout gear and sneakers. “I was at the gym.”
Maxwell eyed her up and down. Her face was flushed, her long hair tied back in a high ponytail. She looked neat and clean, her light makeup gone, revealing her natural, adorable face. Her tight workout clothes accentuated her slender legs, and her slightly exposed midriff hinted at the outline of abs.
She was so different from before. The old Aurora was practically invisible; he had never really looked at her. But the Aurora now was confident, proud, and captivating.
“You could work out at home. I can have Mr. Leen set up a gym for you. No need to run around town,” Maxwell offered.
‘No thanks, I like going out. It’s stuffy at home,” Aurora declined.
She still hadn’t figured out what Maxwell was up to. He seemed to help her in subtle ways, but in her original memories, she and Maxwell had no interactions,
Maybe Maxwell was different from Madeline and Sophia.
“If there’s nothing else, I’m going to my room,” Aurora said.
“Aurora,” Maxwell stopped her, “Grandpa mentioned you’re interested in entering the entertainment industry?”

Aurora sighed. She had blurted that out in a moment of frustration with Heath. She couldn’t believe her grandpa took it seriously.
If you’re considering it, I can give you an overview of the current landscape,” Maxwell said.
Aurora thought for a moment. Even if she didn’t become a star, understanding the entertainment industry would be crucial for her future plans as a talent agent. Maxwell, a seasoned businessman, could offer valuable insights.
“Sure, just give me a moment to shower and change,” Aurora agreed.
Maxwell nodded and returned to his documents.
After a refreshing shower, Aurora changed into a comfortable long dress and dried her hair. She glanced at the diary left by the original owner of this body and opened it again.
“Go for it, Aurora!” the first page read.
The following pages were filled with small events: her secret crush on Ethan, her sadness when he chose Sophia, her longing for her forgotten mother, and her dreams of becoming a talent agent to help girls achieve their dreams.
As she read further, the entries became shorter, likely as the original Aurora’s consciousness faded.
Lysander had already told her the test results. Madeline had been drugging her for years, aiming to turn her into an imbecile.
Why such cruelty for an unloved orphan?
She turned to the latest page and wrote, “Don’t worry, I’ll live on for you.”
After all, this Aurora gave her a second chance at life.
And so, she would reclaim everything owed to the original Aurora, one by one.
