Inside the bag was a USB drive. Sophia took it out and headed downstairs. She found a computer in the control room and plugged in the drive. It was filled with photos of Aurora.
Photos of her walking down the street, hailing a cab, going to bars, and even being carried into a hotel by a man.
Sophia was ecstatic. She knew Aurora wasn’t the innocent girl she pretended to be. The photos proved that Aurora had spent the night with a man. The man’s face wasn’t visible, but that didn’t matter. This was enough to tarnish Aurora’s reputation.
Scrolling to the last file, Sophia found a medical report from the city Hospital. It read: “Aurora Pendleton, two weeks pregnant.”
Sophia was on the verge of laughing out loud. With this information, how could Aurora even stay in the Pendleton family? She had been eyeing Ethan, but now Sophia would make sure Aurora was kicked out, and the whole city would know what a lowlife she was.
Aurora returned to the banquet hall, and Ethan immediately approached her. “Aurora, where have you been?”
Aurora frowned. She wasn’t close with Ethan.
I was in the restroom. You needed something, Ethan?”
He smiled, “Just wanted to introduce you to some friends, no big deal.”
Aurora felt a chill down her spine and turned to see a man in the corner staring at her with a dark expression. “Sorry, I’m a bit tired. I’ll go rest for a bit.”
Ethan couldn’t insist, so he let her go.
Kieran looked at his boss, wondering, “Are you sure this won’t scare Miss Aurora away?”
By 8 PM, Mrs. Song and Madeline Pendleton descended the stairs. The servants rolled out the birthday cake. Mr. Song took the microphone, “Thank you all for coming to my wife’s birthday party. Please forgive any shortcomings in our hospitality.”
As the music played, Mrs. Song made a wish and blew out the candles. Madeline stepped forward with her gift, “Our families are close, so I must give this to you personally.”
Mrs. Song thanked her, and they took a photo together. The guests murmured that a marriage between the Song and Pendleton families
was inevitable.
Madeline looked around, “Ethan, have you seen Sophia?”
Ethan, who had been staring at Aurora’s face, was flustered, “Uh, Snow? Haven’t seen her.”
Madeline chuckled, “Sophia is playful. I’ll have to scold her later.”

Chapter 44
:
Mrs. Song reassured her, ‘No worries, she can go wherever she wants here.”
Both families agreed that Ethan and Sophia should get engaged soon, solidifying their business alliance.
Suddenly, the hall’s big screen lit up. A photo appeared, showing Aurora sitting in a bar corner, surrounded by empty bottles. She looked utterly defeated.
The slideshow continued, showing Aurora being pushed into a car, then being carried into a hotel. The timestamp indicated she left the hotel the next morning. The last slide was Aurora’s medical report: “Aurora Pendleton, 18 years old, two weeks pregnant.”
The crowd started whispering, spreading the news like wildfire.
“That’s the Pendleton’s third daughter, right? So young and already sleeping around?”
“Seriously, what a disgrace to the Pendleton family.”
“She’s only 18 and already pregnant!”
“I thought she looked innocent, turns out it was all an act.”
“I saw her flirting with Ethan earlier, some things never change.”
The guests were buzzing, and Aurora became the target of everyone’s judgment.
Kieran looked at the scene, “Boss, should we intervene?”
“Not yet, let’s wait,” said Heath Fairbank, sipping his drink in a corner.
He wanted to see how Aurora would handle this situation.
Aurora was also waiting, curious about Madeline and Sophia’s next move.
As expected, Sophia burst through the crowd, shouting, “Aurora! Turn this off! Who did this?!”
Sophia’s outburst drew everyone’s attention, clearing a path for her. Aurora was now isolated in the middle, surrounded by empty space as if she were a virus.
Sophia reached Aurora, her face red and swollen from crying, “Aurora, don’t be scared. Whoever did this, come out! This is a Pendleton family matter, none of your business!”
In just a few sentences, Sophia seemed to be defending Aurora, but she had confirmed the rumors for everyone. Aurora was indeed pregnant, and the Pendleton family was planning to handle this scandal internally.
