Aurora remained silent, casting a sarcastic gaze at her.

“Sis, no matter what you think of me, I can’t let you continue like this. We’re sisters, and I can’t stand to see you go down the wrong path!” Sophia spoke earnestly. “Even if you hit me or yell at me for the sake of others, I won’t let anyone bully you anymore!”

As soon as she said this, the room erupted. Sophia was earnestly advising her sister, and yet Aurora had beaten her to this state!

No wonder Madeline didn’t like Aurora. She didn’t even prepare a dress for her. Turns out, Aurora was just too dirty to deserve the status of a Pendleton daughter!

Upon hearing this, Madeline immediately stood up and asked, “Sophia, what did you say? The bruises on your face, did Aurora do this?”

Sophia quickly stepped in front of Aurora and said, “Mom, no, it was my fault… it wasn’t her…”

This clumsy attempt to cover up only confirmed everyone’s suspicions. Sophia was so kind, yet Aurora could be so cruel.

Ethan rushed over, looking at Sophia’s tear-streaked face. As her boyfriend, he was heartbroken. He glared at Aurora and said, “Aurora, how could you?”

Sophia, crying, nestled into Ethan’s arms and said, “Ethan, don’t blame her. She’s just confused. It was all an accident; she’ll change!”

By this point, the guests’ disdain for Aurora had reached its peak. So young, yet so shameless, even resorting to violence against the kind- hearted Sophia.

Sophia hid in Ethan’s arms, her face a picture of sorrow and helplessness, but inside, she was thrilled. “Aurora, let’s see how you get out of this one. You think you’re so pretty? So untouchable? Trying to steal my Ethan? Now everyone knows you’re 18, out all night, pregnant before marriage, and cruel to me. Let’s see how you can stay in this city!”

Kieran, watching Aurora being pointed at by the crowd, was getting anxious. He knew that Miss Aurora held a special place in his boss’s

heart.

Yet his boss, Heath Fairbank, remained unmoved, sipping red wine on the sofa.

‘Sir, aren’t you going to do something?” Kieran asked.

“Wait, Heath replied.

Heath looked at the girl in the crowd, the subject of everyone’s gossip. She still stood tall, showing none of the weakness mentioned in the reports he had read,

This Aurora was not one to sit idly by. If she didn’t have some tricks up her sleeve, she wouldn’t dare to provoke Madeline and Sophia repeatedly at the party.

Heath was waiting to see if Aurora was as cunning and ruthless as he suspected.

Amidst the chatter, Madeline stepped forward, “Aurora is a member of the Pendleton family. We apologize for causing a scene at Mrs. Song’s birthday party and disrupting everyone’s enjoyment. We’ll take her home to reflect on her actions.”

Madeline’s words seemed to offer Aurora some grace, but the moment Aurora stepped out of the Song residence, her reputation would be ruined forever.

Yet, no one in the crowd objected. They even felt this was too lenient for someone as dirty as Aurora,

“Aurora, go home. We’ll deal with this tonight with your father and grandfather,” Madeline said, disappointment in her eyes.

Aurora smiled, her lips curling up. “Deal with what tonight?” she suddenly asked.

From the moment the photos were released to Madeline trying to kick her out, Aurora had remained silent, watching the mother-daughter duo’s performance.

Now that they had played their cards, it was her turn.

“What are you dealing with?” she asked, her face still delicate, her smile faint.

Madeline’s face darkened, “Aurora, I’ve shown you respect. Don’t push it. Go home!”

“You call slapping a ‘pregnant before marriage’ label on me in public ‘show me respect’? Why not give Sophia the same respect?” Aurora retorted sarcastically.

“How dare you! Sophia is a pure Pendleton lady. How could she be pregnant before marriage?” Madeline fumed.

“Sophia is the Pendleton heiress, and I’m just an extra in the Pendleton family. You’ve never liked me, so you’re quick to label me based on a few photos,” Aurora said, feigning hurt.

“Aurora, I wanted to handle this privately, but you made it public. You’re only 18 and already messing around with men, even bringing back an illegitimate child. How do you deserve to be a Pendleton? The medical report clearly states you’re two weeks pregnant. Are you saying it’s fake?” Madeline angrily retorted.

*What if it IS fake?” Aurora raised an eyebrow.
