Chapter 46
“Sis, stop arguing with Mom. Let’s just go home,” Sophia walked over, grabbing Aurora’s hand.
Aurora frowned. Sophia’s nails dug into her flesh, yet her face still showed a look of concern.
Aurora turned her head, gripping Sophia’s hand and smiling at her. To others, it looked like a comforting sisterly smile, but Sophia saw the sarcasm lurking in Aurora’s eyes.
Gripping Sophia’s hand tightly enough to distort her face with pain, Aurora whispered so only the two of them could hear, “After I deal with your mom, you’re next.”
A cold sweat broke out on Sophia’s back. Aurora’s tone and gaze were full of determination. No, she’s just bluffing, Sophia reassured herself.
“Sophia, come here. Don’t talk to her anymore!” Madeline pulled Sophia towards her. “What’s the point of caring for someone who’s beyond redemption?”
“True, Madeline cares so deeply for me, yet she didn’t even check the medical report properly before accusing me of being pregnant,” Aurora said sarcastically.
“What nonsense are you talking about?” Madeline looked at the report on the screen. It was still the same: Aurora Pendleton, 18 years old, two weeks pregnant.
Madeline sneered internally. Aurora was just making a last-ditch effort.
“Madeline, you’ve never looked at me properly your whole life. How could you possibly spot what’s wrong with the report?” Aurora said with a resigned smile.
Aurora, then tell us, what’s wrong?” Ethan was getting impatient. Subconsciously, he didn’t want to believe that Aurora was irresponsible.
“The report clearly states that the blood type is A. Madeline, you care for me so much, yet you don’t know my blood type is B? So, you’re accusing me of being pregnant based on a report of someone with the same name?” Aurora said.
“But you went to the hospital a few days ago to get an abortion!” Madeline shouted.
‘Madeline, have you been stalking me? How else would you know why I went to the hospital?” Aurora shot back.
I…uh… Madeline stammered, not expecting Aurora to be so sharp-tongued.
“I did go to the hospital, but how did you conclude that I went there for an abortion?” Aurora stared at Madeline, asking again.
“Could it be that these photos were taken by someone you hired?” Aurora looked at her, eyes full of irony.
“Nonsense! How could I do such a thing?” Madeline immediately denied.
“If Madeline wouldn’t do such a thing, then who else here would want to ruin my reputation?” Aurora turned to look at Sophia.
Sophia avoided her gaze. No one could know it was her.

Chapter 46
37
“Since all the guests are here, let’s ask Mrs. Song to pull up the security footage and see who released these photos, ruining her birthday party and my reputation, Aurora smiled at Mrs. Song.
“Fine, bring up the footage, Mrs. Song agreed, annoyed that someone would cause a scene at her birthday party.
“Thank you, Mrs. Song, Aurora thanked her, turning to see Sophia’s face go pale. She had been too angry and hadn’t thought about the security cameras when she played the footage.
The big screen lit up again, showing footage from ten minutes ago. A girl in a white dress sneaked into the control room, plugged in a USB drive, and left. The camera caught her face-it was Sophia!
“Sophia, you said we were good sisters. Why would you humiliate me like this in public? If my reputation is ruined today, how can I face anyone in the future?” Aurora looked devastated, almost on the verge of tears.
The guests were shocked. What a plot twist! They had thought Sophia was trying to protect Aurora, but it turned out she was the mastermind!
Sophia, feeling cornered, blurted out, “So what if I did it? You’ve been seducing my boyfriend and even beat me up. I just wanted to teach you a lesson!”
The crowd started murmuring. If it wasn’t about being pregnant, then why did Aurora hit Sophia? What drove Sophia to this point?
“Sophia, I admit, I did hit you. But do you not know why I hit you?” Aurora said.
Sophia was stunned. What was Aurora playing at, admitting to hitting her so openly?
