Me And My Billionaire Husband (Aurora and Heath) novel Chapter 47

Chapter 47

Aurora took out her phone and hit play. A clear voice rang out, “Just like your mom, huh? Always playing the flirt and messing with guys!”

“Sophia, my mom has been dead for years. Show some respect and don’t insult her!”

‘It’s because your mom was short-lived that she died young! She only gave birth to a little wretch like you! My mom outdid yours in stealing men!”

In just a few sentences, everyone could hear Sophia’s multiple insults towards Aurora’s deceased mother, even going as far as to call her short-lived.

“Sophia, you’ve been the little princess at home, spoiled rotten. I can’t compare to you. But my mom is gone, how could I not be angry when you insult her like this?” Aurora wiped the corner of her eyes, looking pitiful and helpless.

Ethan looked incredulously at Sophia, his own sweet girlfriend, unable to believe the venomous words she’d just spewed.

“Ethan, she’s lying! It’s not like that, it’s not!” Sophia hastily tried to explain, but saw a hint of distance in Ethan’s eyes.

“Aurora, why are you doing this to me? You’re the one who said you’d seduce Ethan right in front of me!” Sophia screamed.

“What are you talking about, Sophia? I just met Ethan today. Besides, who goes around saying they’re going to ‘seduce’ someone?” Aurora looked at her incredulously.

In other words, only you, Sophia Pendleton, would talk about seducing men so openly.

Sophia was desperate. She had no other options. She wanted to kick Aurora out of the party, but who knew Aurora had so many tricks up

her sleeve?

“Aurora, you said your blood type is B. Is this test report fake? What were you doing at the hospital? If you’re so confident, call the doctor to prove it. Otherwise, who knows what your blood type is? Even if you’re not pregnant, you did spend the night at a hotel with a man, didn’t you? I’m just stating facts. You can’t blame anyone but yourself for your own actions!”

Aurora was stunned. She thought she had Sophia cornered, but she’d forgotten about that night she blacked out from drinking.

The man in the photo carrying her into the hotel was obviously Heath Fairbank. But bringing him into this wouldn’t be good for his reputation either.

Madeline, sensing the tide turning, chimed in, “Yes, Aurora, it was wrong of Sophia to insult your mother, and I’ll make sure to discipline her. But now we’re talking about you. If you insist you’re not pregnant, then why were you at a hotel with a man? Who was the doctor that examined you?”

Aurora glanced at Heath, who was sitting quietly in the corner sipping his drink. His eyes met hers, and he seemed to be enjoying the

drama.

So, after all her hard work dealing with this mother-daughter duo, Heath was just here for the show?

“Miss Aurora? Long time no see!” A man in a white suit walked in, his golden-framed glasses glinting, a playful smile on his face.

“Lysander Fane?” Aurora turned around, shocked. Was Lysander summoned or something? Speak of the devil and he appears?

*Mrs. Pendleton, I’m the doctor who examined Miss Aurora. She had been experiencing headaches after a fall, so she went to the hospital for a check-up, Lysander said with a smile.

Everyone knew Lysander, a scion of a medical family. His word was as good as gold.

“So, do you believe me now? I’m not pregnant,” Aurora said toward Madeline.

“But you did spend the night at a hotel with some sketchy guy!” Sophia shrieked.

“Who did you say is sketchy?” A voice tinged with anger came from the corner. Everyone turned to see Heath put down his drink and stand up, walking over.

Heath stood next to Aurora, hands in his pockets, his expression cold. “What kind of upbringing did you have, Miss Sophia? All you talk about is seducing and men?”

“Mr. Fairbank?” Sophia was shocked, as were Madeline and everyone else. The drama had escalated to involve even the big shot Mr. Heath Fairbank.

“The man in the photo is…” Madeline tentatively asked.

“It’s me,” Heath confirmed.

And that was that. With Heath’s admission, who could doubt it anymore?
