Chapter 58
As soon as she walked in, Mr. Leen greeted her with a smile, “Thought you’d be late again, Miss Aurora. Have you had dinner?”
“No, I came back to have dinner with Grandpa,” Aurora replied.
Leen’s face lit up with joy. He quickly instructed the kitchen to serve the dishes and went to fetch Grandpa.

Once seated, Leen said, “Eat up, Miss Aurora. Grandpa specifically told the kitchen to prepare light dishes. You’re injured, and eating too much soy sauce or chili could leave scars.”
Aurora perked up, “Really? Chili can cause scars?”
“Yes, you should avoid certain foods while healing,” Leen advised.
So, was that why Heath insisted on not having hot–pot today? To prevent her wounds from scarring?
Her heart felt warm yet chaotic. She lowered her head and focused on her meal.
Heath had said, “You can try to make decisions about me.”
He also asked, “Do you want me to come to Seaview?”
It felt like she understood something but also didn’t, a feeling stuck in her throat that she couldn’t express.
“Didn’t have a good time with Heath?” Grandpa asked.
“Huh? No, we just had dinner,” Aurora mumbled, looking down.
“Is the food not to your liking then?” Grandpa inquired further.
“No, Grandpa, I had some snacks in the afternoon. I’m full,” Aurora explained.
“School starts in a few days. You need to study hard; otherwise, how will you get into college with your grades?” Grandpa said, concerned.
“Don’t worry, Grandpa, I’ll study hard,” Aurora assured him.
‘Decided which university you want to attend?” Grandpa asked.
‘Imperial University,‘ Aurora replied.
Grandpa suddenly choked and coughed vigorously.
Uncle Li quickly patted Grandpa’s back and gave him water. Finally catching his breath, Grandpa asked, “Which university did you say?”
“Imperial University,” Aurora repeated.
“Girl, it’s good to have dreams, but you need to be realistic. Imperial is a top–five university nationwide. Many people try but fail to get

in, Grandpa cautioned.
“I know, but I can make it,‘ Aurora insisted.
:
“Don’t boast. With your grades, you’d be lucky to get into any university, let alone Imperial,” Grandpa retorted.

Aurora felt awkward, forgetting that the original owner of this body had been drugged by Madeline, making her the bottom of her class.
“Don’t worry, Grandpa, I’ll definitely get into Imperial,” Aurora said, grinning.
“Hmph, we’ll see how you handle it when your bluff is called,” Grandpa huffed.
“Grandpa, why are you always so discouraging? I’m your granddaughter!” Aurora pouted.
“Fine, I won’t discourage you. If you get into Imperial, I’ll give you 5% of the company shares,” Grandpa offered.
Aurora’s eyes lit up. What was Grandpa playing at?
Sebastian had 5%, Maxwell had 10%, and Grandpa held 45%, making him the largest shareholder and the undisputed chairman.
If she got 5%, she’d be on par with Sebastian. Although tempting, Aurora hesitated. Was Grandpa sincere or testing her?
“Why would I need shares? I’m not joining the company,” Aurora deflected.
“You may not join, but when I’m gone, you’ll need financial security. Those shares will give you annual dividends,” Grandpa said earnestly.
“Grandpa! Why are you talking like that? You’re in great health!” Aurora was a bit upset. She had a soft spot for her grandpa, who had always been good to her.
“Girl, these shares aren’t a handout. If you get into Imperial, consider them your reward. If not, you get nothing,” Grandpa chuckled, standing up to go for a walk.
Aurora returned to her room, lying on her bed, tossing and turning. She felt increasingly confused lately.
Heath confused her. Grandpa confused her.
She was reborn for revenge, but it seemed more and more uncontrollable events were entering her life,
Many things she’d never encountered or felt as Olivia were now unfamiliar yet warmly inviting, making her both fearful and eager to approach.
