Kieran watched the two people hugging so sweetly it could give you diabetes. He grinned mischievously and looked at his own boss,

Heath, through the rearview mirror. He felt a sense of joy, as if he were about to marry off his daughter.

Heath looked up and saw Kieran’s smug face in the rearview mirror. With a cold expression, he asked, “Got too much time on your hands?”

Kieran: “Boss, um, are you and Miss Aurora, like, an item now?”

Heath: “No.”

Kieran Ashford: “No? Why not? You guys hugged!”

Heath gave him a dismissive look: “Shut up and drive.”

Kieran was left speechless. Is love really this complicated? Anyone with half a brain could see these two were into each other! Why aren’t they together yet? He was so close to celebrating, but after all the effort he and Lysander put in, these two still hadn’t made it official?

Heath glanced at Aurora’s figure in the rearview mirror, the corner of his mouth curling up slightly. They weren’t officially together, nor were they even dating. He could sense the unease, the anxiety, and a heavy sense of hostility in Aurora’s tightly guarded heart. What was missing was a sense of security. She seemed to be racing against time, striving hard, as if the world would collapse the next second if she didn’t. He could wait until she was ready to face him with her whole heart. He knew she was his, so there was no rush.

Aurora entered the old mansion. Her grandfather saw her and joked, “Ah, Leen’s cooking must not be as good as eating out, since Aurora is always dining out.”

Leen looked at Aurora and chuckled, “Should I hire a new chef to change things up for Miss Aurora?

Aurora sat next to her grandfather: “Grandpa, what nonsense are you talking about? I don’t dine out every day!”

Grandfather: “Really? You were sick just a few days ago, and as soon as Heath showed up, you got better.”

Aurora: ‘Grandpa! Stop making things up, or I’ll ignore you!”

Grandfather laughed, Alright, alright. School starts tomorrow. Have you packed your books?”

“Everything’s packed, no need to worry, Aurora replied.

The next day, Aurora got up early, dressed in her school uniform, and went downstairs. Her grandfather looked at her, recalling the last time she went to school looking clueless and naive, and found it hard to believe it was the same girl. After breakfast, concerned she might catch a chill, he had Little Fish bring her a coat. The family driver dropped Aurora off at the school entrance.

Seaview High School was the best high school in the area, filled not just with top students but also rich kids whose families had business dealings with each other. When Aurora’s car stopped at the entrance, everyone knew it was the Pendleton family s Audi. Many people were waiting at the school gate to catch a glimpse of Sophia, the school beauty. eyes like twinkling stars. She stood gracefully, radiating an irresistible charm.

The boys at the school gate were instantly buzzing. This wasn’t Sophia! But she was even more beautiful!

Aurora got out of the car, took her backpack and coat from the driver, and walked into the school. Following her memory, she entered the teaching building and found Classroom 1 of the senior year, walking in.

A crowd of people followed her, curious to see which class the new transfer student was in. To their surprise, it was Class 1, the best class filled with top students and rich kids. This beautiful girl was actually in Class 1.

Aurora walked into Class 1, and the room instantly erupted. No one had heard about a new transfer student. A boy walked up to her and asked, “Are you in this class?”

Aurora knew this was the class president, named Mingyoo. She smiled and said, “Yes.”

She then walked past Mingyoo and went straight to her seat, putting down her backpack.

Mingyoo followed her and said, “You might not want to sit here. This seat was originally occupied by an idiot.”

“Yeah, yeah, switch seats,” someone else chimed in.

“Why not sit next to me? I’ll move the desk for you,” another boy offered.

Ignoring them, Aurora turned her head and smiled sweetly at them. Her smile was so dazzling that even the boys peeking in from outside the classroom were envious. Why wasn’t this beautiful girl in their class?

Then, this sweet–smiling girl walked up to the podium. Everyone quieted down, waiting for her to introduce herself and reveal her name.

Aurora scanned the room and said, “Long time no see. I am Aurora Pendleton.”

The classroom, along with the people outside, exploded. Everyone was immersed in Aurora’s self–introduction, which struck like a bolt of lightning.

No one could believe that this newly emerged goddess was Aurora. Who was Aurora? She was a well–known idiot at Seaview High School, with no friends because no one wanted to associate with her. She was always disheveled, lowering her head as she walked through the crowd, and her grades were so bad they significantly pulled down the class average. If it weren’t for the fact that she was from the Pendleton family, the teacher would have kicked her out long ago.

But the girl standing on the podium now was wearing the same uniform as them, yet her aura was completely different. She stood there gracefully, attracting everyone’s attention even without speaking. Her eyes were firm, her speech confident, like a born queen. How could this possibly be Aurora?

Sophia got out of her car to find that all the boys who usually waited at the school gate to see her were gone. The gate was deserted. She walked into the school and saw everyone talking and heading toward Class 1. Sophia was puzzled; she was in Class I herself. Who could possibly outshine her?

Sophia stormed into the classroom, only to see Aurora standing gracefully at the podium, chatting with the boys and girls who were speaking to her in hushed tones, as if afraid to scare her away. Aurora was also smiling and interacting with them.

Sophia was furious. It was Aurora again! She rushed in and shoved Aurora hard. Aurora was caught off guard but was steadied by a nearby girl, preventing her from falling.
