Chapter 70
:
“Sophia? What are you up to?” Aurora asked.
“Cut the act, Aurora!” Sophia snapped back.
The crowd was shocked. Was this really Aurora??
People didn’t care about Sophia’s mood; they all gathered around Aurora, chattering away.
“Aurora, you’ve changed so much, I didn’t even recognize you!”
“Yeah, you’ve turned into a goddess!”
“Can you share how you lost weight? I wanna be like you!”
“We have a graduation party after the exams, wanna sign up, Aurora?”
Everyone was talking to Aurora, completely ignoring Sophia.
Sophia was so mad she wanted to rip Aurora’s face off, or throw water on these people!
Have they gone mad?

So what if Aurora lost weight?
She should still be the same unnoticeable Aurora, forever in the corner, making Sophia shine.
Sophia Pendleton, SHE was the school beauty!
Sophia walked up to the podium, affectionately linking arms with Aurora, “Yeah, Sis, there’s a graduation party after the exams. I’ve signed up for a violin performance. You should too.”
Aurora smirked inside. She didn’t play the violin, and Sophia knew it.
“No thanks, I’ll just watch from the audience,” Aurora said, smiling.
Sophia sneered, “Oh right, you can’t play the violin. How about the piano? What CAN you perform? I’ll sign you up.”
In their circle of wealthy kids, everyone had some sort of talent.
Sophia just wanted to remind everyone that their goddess‘ was a talentless waste, a reject from the Pendleton family.
Aurora just smiled, “I’d rather focus on preparing for the exams.”
The crowd fell silent. Sophia couldn’t help but laugh.
Everyone knew Aurora was a dunce, always at the bottom of the class.

Chapter 70
:
And Sophia, a year younger, was only in the same class because Aurora had been held back.
Sophia was always in the top five of the class.
Did losing weight make Aurora smarter?
Nobody believed her. They all thought it was a lame excuse to skip the graduation party.
The class bell rang, and the teacher walked in. They didn’t say anything about Aurora sitting in the back corner.
To the teacher, the most important thing was the exams. Whether she was pretty or not didn’t matter.
Sophia didn’t bother her for the rest of the day, and Aurora had a peaceful day at school.
In the afternoon, Aurora passed by the drama club and saw a group of students rehearsing.
Sophia was among them.
Aurora walked over and asked a junior, “What are you guys rehearsing?”
The junior looked up and saw a beautiful face, “We’re practicing the play ‘The Nutcracker‘ for the graduation party.”
“Is that Sophia Pendleton in the dress?” Aurora pointed and asked.
“Yeah, she’s the school beauty and she’s playing the princess,” the boy said.
“But isn’t she about to take exams? Why is she here?” Aurora asked.
The boy looked around and whispered, “She’s not here to rehearse. She’s here to be the princess. She pushed out Cheryl, who was supposed to be the princess. The club president sides with her, so we have no choice.”
Aurora understood.
Sophia wouldn’t miss any chance to be in the spotlight.
And she knew that The Nutcracker‘ had a ballet scene, but Sophia couldn’t dance ballet.
Sophia sat on a luxury sofa, wearing a European court dress, looking quite like a princess.
But her expression was bossy, ordering people around.
When it came to the dance scene, Sophia said, ‘I think ballet is overrated. Let’s change it to a violin performance. I’ll blow everyone away!”
A few boys immediately agreed, “Yeah, let’s do the violin. Everyone knows our school beauty is a great violinist. It Il be amazing.
A girl snorted softly,
Sophia frowned, “Cheryl, do you have a problem?”

Aurora looked over. This must be Cheryl, the one who lost her role.
:
She was also wearing a European court dress and a golden wig, revealing a delicate oval face.
She lifted her skirt, stood on her tiptoes, extended her arms like an elegant swan, and spun gracefully before standing still.
Cheryl smirked, “See? That’s ballet. Ever heard of a Nutcracker princess playing the violin? What’s next, Cinderella playing the piano?”
Aurora chuckled. Cheryl was quite funny.
Sophia was furious, “You’re just jealous because I got the lead role!”

A few boys also came over, “Yeah, Cheryl, the president agreed to let Sophia play the lead. Stop complaining. What’s wrong with the violin if she performs well?”
Everyone sided with Sophia. Cheryl shrugged, “Fine, good luck with your performance. Tell the president I’m quitting the drama club.”
Cheryl jumped off the stage, turned back and said, “You really think she’ll do well? What kind of princess acts like a shrew?”
Sophia stomped her foot, “Cheryl!”
Cheryl didn’t look back, walking backstage and pulling Aurora with her.
Cheryl stared at her, “What were you laughing at?”
Aurora laughed again, “I was happy to see Sophia Pendleton get put in her place.”
Cheryl looked her up and down, “You’re that Aurora who’s been the talk of the school, the new school beauty? Aren’t you Sophia Pendleton’s sister?”
Aurora shook her head, “Can you really call it sisterhood when we’re at odds?”
Cheryl laughed, untying her dress as she spoke, “Good thing you’re not like her, that annoying, troublesome drama queen. Are you two even related?”
Aurora paused, “Actually, we’re not even from the same mother.”
