Me And My Billionaire Husband (Aurora and Heath) novel Chapter 72

Chapter 72

Who??

Who’s the top scorer??

No way, I must’ve heard wrong!

This is some nextlevel stuff, huh??

:

The classroom erupted into chaos. Sophia shrieked, Impossible! There’s gotta be a mistake!

The teacher shot her a disapproving look. Why is it impossible?

She must’ve cheated!Sophia’s face twisted as she pointed at Aurora.

As soon as she said that, others chimed in.

Yeah, she definitely cheated, right?

If she can get first place, so can I!

From bottom of the barrel to top of the class? Who’s buying that?

Everyone was buzzing, looking at Aurora with disdain. A first place earned through cheating was worthless to them.

Meanwhile, Aurora sat unfazed by the window at the back of the room, calmly watching Sophia’s antics.

Sophia spoke again, Sis, cheating can get you expelled. Just admit your mistake; maybe you can still stay.

Aurora turned to the teacher and smiled, So, are you gonna expel me?

The teacher was slightly annoyed, Aurora’s past poor performance was due to health issues. As you can see, she’s healthy now. Her improvement is natural. Plus, the principal and the dean personally supervised the exam. Aurora scored full marks in Math. That proves

she didn’t cheat!

Sophia was grinding her teeth. Impossible! Impossible! She didn’t even make it to the top ten, and Aurora was the top scorer?

What about her other subjects? Aurora can’t even string a sentence together in Spanish. How could she possibly be first?Sophia questioned again.

Aurora stood up, smoothed her skirt, and looked at Sophia.

Her Spanish was fluent and impeccable. She looked at Sophia and said, Care to translate what I just said?

Sophia was stunned. Aurora’s Spanish was so fluent it was as if she’d grown up in the States. Her accent was perfect.

Sophia’s Spanish was only good enough to pass exams, not for actual conversation. How could she understand what Aurora had just said?

Aurora smiled again, What I said is a quote from a movie. It means that in this world, there’s no such thing as happiness or misery, only comparisons between states. Only those who’ve felt the deepest sorrow can taste the greatest joy. Only those who’ve faced death can truly appreciate life.

She looked at Sophia, If you can’t translate my Spanish, don’t question my grades.

Aurora gracefully sat back down to a round of applause.

Nobody in the class had understood what Aurora had just said in Spanish, so they had no grounds to question her grades.

Especially after that performance, they were all convinced.

Sophia, her face flushed with humiliation, bit her lip and stayed silent.

The teacher signaled for everyone to quiet down. If there are no more objections, let’s end this meeting. You all could learn a thing or two from Aurora on how to improve your grades. Also, Aurora, since you’re the top scorer, you can move to the front row.

Aurora stood up and shook her head, Thanks, but I’m good here. I’m tall; I don’t wanna block anyone’s view.

The teacher nodded approvingly and left the classroom.

As soon as the teacher was gone, people swarmed around Aurora’s desk, chattering away.

Some asked her for weightloss tips, some for study hacks, and some just straightup praised her for being kind and gentle. The class had never been this lively.

Sophia sat alone, glaring at Aurora in the crowd. Why did she get all the glory?

Then, she saw Aurora’s eyes meet hers across the room.

Her gaze was mocking, sarcastic, and full of aggression.

Aurora Pendleton!

Two months ago, she was a chubby nobody, the butt of everyone’s jokes.

Sophia had always been the golden girl, the goddess and top student of Seaview High School.

But now?

The tables had completely turned.

Aurora was now the goddess and top student, kind, smart, and beautiful. These people had no idea how sinister she could be behind the

scenes!

Sophia was now completely overshadowed. Wherever Aurora was, nobody noticed her, Sophia Pendleton.

Chapter 72

:

Sophia saw Aurora slip through the crowd and head for the restroom in the hallway. She quickly got up and followed.

The restroom was empty. Sophia checked each stall to make sure.

Aurora was washing her hands at the sink. She looked up and saw Sophia’s reflection in the mirror, her eyes cold and piercing.

Sophia, what’s the deal? Following me to the bathroom?Aurora met her gaze in the mirror while washing her hands.

41

Aurora, cut the act. You think I don’t know? You orchestrated the whole thing with the Song family to ruin my mom and me! You’re just a scheming, wicked woman!Sophia accused her angrily.

Aurora dried her hands, turned around, crossed her arms, and chuckled, Yeah, I did. You and your mom were dumb enough to fall for it. What can I say? Should I let a sitting duck go?

Aurora, you’re shameless!Sophia lunged at her in a fit of rage.

Aurora effortlessly caught her hand and grabbed her by the collar, pushing her into a stall and pinning her against the wall. She was strong enough to handle Sophia like it was nothing.

Aurora looked at her with a cold smile, Forgot already? I told you, I’ll take everything from youyour status, your honor, your wealth, your relationships. And this is just the beginning. Can’t handle it?

Youyou wouldn’t dare!Sophia stammered.

Aurora let go of her collar, patted her cheek, and grinned, Watch me. Once I’m done with you, your mom’s next.

Then she left Sophia, who collapsed weakly onto the floor, and walked out of the restroom.
