Chapter 81
Aurora nodded, “Of course, I’m her agent and assistant now.”
For the rest of the meal, Heath didn’t say another word. Aurora had a vague feeling that he was displeased.

The next day, Aurora packed her bags early. The company sent a car to pick her and Ivy up and take them to the drama set.
While getting her makeup done, Ivy asked, “Who’s playing the female lead this time?”
Aurora shook her head, “I don’t know, the producer didn’t say. Seems like it’s a newcomer.”
The first scene was a flashback to the Emperor and Empress as childhood sweethearts who grew up together. Ivy completed it effortlessly.
After finishing the first scene, the female lead finally arrived fashionably late. The director, who had been earnestly discussing the scene with Ivy, immediately ran out to greet her.
Aurora and Ivy also followed to see who it was. The person who was being escorted down from the nanny van was none other than
Sophia.
Sophia looked even more radiant than a month ago. She was smiling and greeting people as she was surrounded by a crowd.
This was indeed a pleasant surprise. The drama crew had kept the identity of the female lead a secret until now. So it was Sophia. That meant the Pendleton family’s subsidiary company must be about to start operations, right?
Sophia saw Aurora standing behind the crowd and walked over, smiling, “Aurora, long time no see. What are you doing here as a little
assistant?”
Aurora smiled, “Long time no see. I didn’t expect you to come to the capital so soon.”
“Our whole family is here. Didn’t you know? Didn’t Dad tell you that our subsidiary company has already settled in the capital?” Sophia said, her smile sweet but her words cutting like a knife.
Sophia then looked at Ivy and said, “So you’re the Ivy my sister was talking about? I hope my sister can really help you make a comeback.”
She giggled and walked into the makeup room.
After asking around, they found out that this drama was invested in by the Song family, specifically to make Sophia famous. It was surprising that after the fiasco at the last banquet, the Song family still recognized Sophia as their would–be daughter–in–law.
In the next scene, the Emperor is attacked and the Empress takes a sword for him, showcasing the deep love between the couple.
A man dressed in black, hanging from wires, rushed over. Ivy pushed the Emperor away and shouted, “Your Majesty, watch out!” A sword pierced her shoulder. Ivy’s face changed color, and Aurora seemed to hear the sound of flesh being pierced.
The Empress spat out a mouthful of blood and fainted. The Emperor immediately called for the imperial physician. The director yelled

“Cut,‘ and the scene ended. Ivy lay on the ground for a long time without getting up.
Aurora immediately realized something was wrong. She rushed over, pushed through the crowd, and helped Ivy up. She touched her shoulder and her hand was full of real blood!
Ivy’s face turned pale from the pain. Aurora shouted, “Call an ambulance!”
The staff immediately made the call, and the unconscious Ivy was lifted onto the ambulance.
The actor playing the assassin was so scared that he threw away the sword, saying, “It wasn’t me! I didn’t know!”

No one knew why a regular prop had turned into a real sword. If the stuntman playing the assassin hadn’t pulled back quickly, that sword could have pierced through Ivy’s shoulder.
The crowd was in chaos, tidying up the scene. Aurora saw Sophia standing outside the crowd, arms crossed, looking at her mockingly. Her lips moved slightly, and the shape of her mouth seemed to be saying, “You deserve it!”
Aurora, her hands full of blood, pushed through the crowd, walked up to Sophia, and slapped her hard across the face.
Everyone on the set was stunned, but since the director didn’t say anything, no one else dared to speak.
