Me And My Billionaire Husband (Aurora and Heath) novel Chapter 82

Chapter 82

Everyone in the upper echelons of several drama crews knew that Sophia and Aurora were the Pendleton heiresses. They wouldn’t dare meddle in the affairs of such a wealthy family.

Sophia stumbled back, shocked. She thought Aurora wouldn’t dare lay a hand on her in public. But what she failed to realize was that Aurora had no such reservations.

Before Sophia could even argue, Aurora grabbed her wrist, her eyes icy cold. Sophia, I’ve been too lenient with you lately. How dare you mess with my people?

The grip hurt, and what made it worse was that Aurora was covered in blood, looking as menacing as a demon straight out of hell.

Unable to break free, Sophia screamed, Help! Someone, help!

Aurora glared at her, If anything happens to Ivy, not even God can save you. I’ll personally send you to hell.

Some people rushed over to separate them, while others urged Aurora, Let’s go, you need to get to the hospital to check on Ivy.

Finally, Aurora let go and headed for the hospital.

At the emergency room, only a few staff were present. Ivy wasn’t a big name, so no one was in a rush to check on her.

Aurora told her crew to head back, and she sat alone, waiting. A nurse informed her that Ivy had lost a lot of blood and was receiving a transfusion.

Aurora sat there, lost in thought. She blamed herself for letting the Pendleton family drama affect those close to her.

When Heath and Kieran hurriedly arrived, they found Aurora sitting alone, staring at the ground.

From a distance, Heath noticed the blood stains on her clothes and quickly approached her.

A pair of expensive leather shoes entered Aurora’s line of sight. She looked up and recognized that familiar, handsome face. Heath? What are you doing here?

Heath grabbed her hand, stained with dried blood, and anxiously asked, Are you hurt?

Aurora shook her head, It’s not me, it’s Ivy. This is her blood.

Heath examined her again, not because he didn’t trust her, but because Aurora had a habit of pushing people away, claiming she was fine.

Only after confirming that Aurora was unharmed did Heath pull her into his arms, gently stroking her messy hair.

Feeling her softness and even breathing, Heath finally exhaled.

He had been terrified when he heard about the accident on set. Kieran told him that props had turned into real weapons, and someone got stabbed.

For the first time in his life, he was scared.

:

Aurora’s bloodsoaked appearance had stopped his breath. If she had been the one hurt, he would’ve torn the set apart.

Aurora reached out and gently hugged Heath back.

Heath stiffened; this was the first time Aurora had reciprocated his embrace.

She nestled quietly in his arms, her arms around his waist, her head on his chest, her eyes closed.

Heath could feel her exhaustion and fear.

It’s okay now,Heath reassured her.

Heath.

Mm?

Heath.

Mm?

Heath?

I’m here.

That’s good.

The hallway was silent. Kieran didn’t dare make a sound, afraid to break the tranquility.

For the first time since her previous life and her rebirth, Aurora fully relied on someone else.

She was tired and guiltridden, desperately needing a warm and solid embrace.

And there was Heath, right in front of her.

So she indulged herself in this hug, letting herself sink into this newfound dependency.

Years later, when asked when she started to like Heath, Aurora thought about that moment. When she needed someone to lean on, that aloof man came to her side and told her, I’m here.

That was when she fell for him.

It was just that she was too young and naive to realize the depth of her feelings, leading to years of roundabout journeys.

The doctor came out and said, The patient lost a lot of blood, but luckily the wound isn’t deep. She’s been moved to a room and should be fine once the anesthesia wears off.

Aurora sighed in relief, almost stumbling. Heath caught her and let her lean on him.

After some more medical advice, the doctor left.

Chapter 82

I’ll go check on Ivy. You can go, Aurora said.

Have you eaten?Heath asked.

Not yet, Aurora replied.

Let’s eat first. Ivy’s fine, Heath insisted.

I need to see her to feel at ease,Aurora said.

So Heath accompanied her to Ivy’s room, where she was still under anesthesia, sleeping soundly.

They grabbed a quick bite outside the hospital before returning.

Kieran whispered to Aurora, The boss thought you were the one hurt. He left a meeting halfway just to come here.

How did he know something happened on set?Aurora asked.

He’s had people watching you since you joined the crew. He’s worried about your safety,Kieran explained. He yelled at me to drive faster!and run the red lights! If something had happened to you, he would’ve skinned me alive!

Aurora blushed as Heath’s voice came from behind, Kieran, you’ve got a lot of free time lately?

Kieran straightened up, No, sir! Very busy!

Aurora chuckled, Heath, do you always have to scare Kieran like that?

Exactly, Miss Aurora is too kind!Kieran eagerly brownnosed.

Joking aside, Heath had left a room full of executives and rushed here, yelling at Kieran to drive faster!and run the red lights!Clearly, Aurora was destined to be the future Mrs. CEO. Better to start sucking up now!
