Me And My Billionaire Husband
Chapter 83

Originally, Ivy had been injured, and the production team was on the verge of replacing her. However, due to Heath stepping in, they held off for half a month. They only resumed shooting after Ivy was discharged from the hospital.
Perhaps it was because Aurora had publicly disciplined Sophia last time, but Sophia had become considerably more well–behaved. The entire crew now knew that Aurora was the third heiress of the Pendleton family, and they had become much more courteous towards both her and Ivy.
Ivy’s final scene was one of self–immolation.
Aurora had people thoroughly check the filming location and all the props three times to ensure there were no issues before they began shooting.
After the final scene was shot and post–production was completed, Ivy, dressed in a bright red traditional costume, stood amidst a sea of flames. She looked hauntingly beautiful as she opened her red lips and said, “I thought that on the day of our wedding, all I would have to be was your wife, not your queen.”
A sea of flames engulfed the palace, and the emperor cried his heart out just outside the palace gates. The first queen thus passed away.
This was just a short segment at the beginning. Sophia, who portrayed the main character, had just made her entrance, and Ivy had already completed all her scenes.
Ivy was merely a supporting character, so there was no farewell banquet for her. However, being the kind–hearted person she was, she had her assistant buy small gifts for the crew members.
On the day Aurora took Ivy away from the set, Sophia, dressed in her period costume, mockingly said, “Leaving after just a few days of shooting? A supporting role is still just a supporting role!”
Ivy glanced at Aurora but remained silent. Aurora chuckled and stared at Sophia, saying, “Sophia, you really have a knack for ticking people off, don’t you?”
Sophia lifted her skirt and walked over, declaring, “In this city, in the entertainment industry, I have the backing of the Pendleton family. What are you compared to that?”
Aurora snorted with laughter, “You think Evelyn, who can barely take care of herself, can protect you? You’ll soon find out what I’m all about.”
After saying this, she turned around and left with Ivy. Sophia clenched her fists behind them, unable to believe that Aurora could dominate the ever–changing entertainment industry.
Aurora was also about to start her school term. She didn’t enroll in the directing program; she was admitted to the finance department of the university. What she aimed for was not just the small world of the entertainment industry; she wanted the entire Pendleton and Whitmore families.
On the first day of school, Heath instructed Kieran to drop her off at the university before heading to the Fairbank’s house. However, Kieran showed no intention of helping her with her luggage that morning.
“Heath, I want to move into the dormitory,” Aurora said.
“Do you plan to run your company from the dorm?” Heath raised an eyebrow.

Aurora was speechless. It seemed logical; running a company from a dormitory would indeed be inconvenient. But always staying at Heath’s place felt a bit awkward as well.
Especially recently, Aurora felt a subtle change in the atmosphere between them. She was a bit scared and confused, wanting to escape.
Heath didn’t agree with her moving out, so he dropped her off early in the morning at the university and then returned home.

Aurora walked into the campus, feeling that even the air in the university was wonderful. She had never attended college before; all her skills were learned in dark, underground spaces and harsh natural environments.
When she arrived at the registration point, someone led her to the classroom. Because Aurora was the top scorer in the college entrance examination, she was placed in Finance Class 1, which was said to consist of excellent students from various places.
Aurora entered the classroom where a few students were already chatting. She found a seat and sat down. A girl came over and sat next to her, somewhat nervously greeting her, “Hello, my name is Vespera Thornfield.”
Aurora looked up. The girl standing in front of her had a small face, was wearing a long skirt, had waist–length hair, and her makeup was a bit heavy, making her look older.
Aurora frowned and said, “Hello, I’m Aurora Pendleton.”
“Which dormitory are you in?” Vespera asked.
“I’m not staying on campus, so I haven’t seen which dormitory I’m in yet,” Aurora replied.
Vespera rubbed her hands together, somewhat embarrassed, and said, “Could you accompany me to find the dormitory then? I’m a bit bored being alone.”
Since she had nothing better to do, Aurora went with her to check the dormitory list and unexpectedly found both their names in the same dormitory.
“We’re in the same dormitory? What a coincidence,” Vespera laughed.
When she laughed, her eyes squinted, making her look like a lazy cat.
Aurora nodded and said, “It is quite a coincidence.”
‘But I’ve just met you, and you’re not staying in the dormitory,” Vespera said, sounding a bit regretful.
Aurora pulled her back into the classroom. The students had already started to arrive in twos and threes, chatting animatedly. Aurora sat on the side and said, “Why does it seem like everyone knows each other? Are we the only two from out of town?”
Vespera glanced at the clusters of people and said, “Except for a few top scorers from the areas surrounding the capital city, the rest are indeed locals. And they come from well–off families with business connections, so they naturally know each other.”
Aurora asked, “What about you? Are you a local?”
Vespera gave a somewhat self–mocking smile and said, “Sort of.”
Aurora didn’t understand what “sort of” meant. Either you are, or you aren’t; what does “sort of” mean?

However, since it was their first day of acquaintance, Aurora didn’t intend to pry into her privacy and didn’t ask further. At noon, she went to the cafeteria with Vespera.
Vespera only ate a few bites and stopped. She always gave Aurora a feeling that she was physically uncomfortable, but Aurora didn’t pay it any mind. It was her first time eating in a college cafeteria, and she enjoyed it very much.
After the freshness of college life passed, Aurora went to and from classes like a normal college student every day. She almost felt that this kind of life was what she should have had all along.
