Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 1065

Josefina pushed open the door to Logan's hospital room and was instantly met with the heartwarming sight of a familiar face she hadn't seen in ages.

"Master!" Logan shouted, rushing over with excitement.

Alfie beamed at Josefina, a mix of pride and joy lighting up his face. After all, Josefina was his cherished student.

"Why didn't you let me know you were coming back, Master? I would've come to pick you up," Logan said, his voice laced with warmth and affection.

"If I had told you, you'd have been all worked up about my arrival," Alfie replied with a gentle smile. "Right now, you need to focus on your own well-being and not stress too much about other things."

"Understood, Master," Josefina replied, taking a seat beside them.

"Josie," Alfie continued, "I've come to take Logan back with me. I'm aware of the current situation, and keeping him here will only spell more trouble and danger for both of you."

Logan, now awake and sitting up in bed, appeared calm and didn't protest the decision. Josefina observed that he seemed to have grown up a lot.

"I've already had a chat with Logan, and he's on board with the plan," Alfie explained.

Logan offered a small smile, his face relaxing a bit. "Master, I want to go back," he said.

Josefina nodded, knowing this was the right move. "If you want to go back, then that's what we'll do."

Alfie stood up. "Josie, we need to get moving right away; time's ticking."

"So soon?" Josefina asked, feeling a bit caught off guard.

"It has to be," Alfie said softly. "If Cole and his crew are mixed up in this, every extra second Logan stays here is a gamble."

Josefina nodded in agreement, sensing the urgency.

"I'll have Harry and the team see you off," Josefina offered.

...

Half an hour later, Josefina got a call from Alfie.

"Josie, I made a trip to the bayou. The person behind the poison has vanished. From what I've found out, they've been missing for a month. I was too late."

"They're ruthless, Master. They wouldn't leave any loose ends. Thanks for going out there," Josefina said appreciatively.

"Don't be so formal, kiddo. I wish I could've done more," Alfie replied, a bit bashful at the praise.

"You've done a lot for me, Master. That place is dangerous; not many would dare to go. Without your help, I wouldn't have found anyone willing to take the risk."

Alfie chuckled softly, touched by her words. "Josie, you're quite the charmer."

As they chatted, Alfie noticed Logan's quiet mood. "Josie, Logan's safely in the car, and we're well away from Westwood now. Don't worry; I'll make sure he gets home safe and sound."
