Dominic found himself locked away in a special room, with only a select few allowed to interact with him: Josefina, Oliver, Darren, and a higher-up from the organization. Josefina was itching to see what kind of abilities those mad scientists had managed to engineer in their latest experiment. After all, the key to victory is understanding your enemy. Determined to unravel this mystery, Josefina enlisted the help of Percy. Together, they were eager to dive into the research and peel back the layers of secrecy.
Josefina laid out the plan, and soon Percy arrived with Mandy in tow. Mandy scanned the room with wide eyes, her excitement almost palpable. She was curious and ready to dive right into the experiment.
"Josie, don't worry. I'll give it my all," Percy assured her confidently. Mandy quickly chimed in, echoing Percy’s sentiment, "Me too, Josie. I'll give it everything I've got!" Listening to them, Josefina almost burst out laughing. "No need to be so formal, folks. We're all old friends here. I trust you completely with this task."
After offering a few more instructions, Josefina let Percy and Mandy get to work. Her fingers itched to join them, but with a baby on the way, she knew she had to be more cautious. Oliver, after finishing a conversation with Darren, came to find Josefina, and they met at the door.
"Josie, you're not thinking of joining in on the experiments, are you?" Oliver asked, a hint of worry in his voice. Some things, he thought, are better left to others, especially when health is on the line.
Josefina smiled reassuringly, "Don't worry. I know my limits. This is the time to step back and let others take the lead." Learning to let go was a new lesson for her. Sometimes, stepping aside allowed others the chance to grow.
Oliver took Josefina's hand, and together, they left the building.
