Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 812

Josephine's lips curled into a slight smile as she asked, "What did you say again?"

"We told her that Mrs. Chen's beauty business is a perfect match for our products. Plus, her business skills are top-notch. We'd love to work with her and laid on the compliments; Mrs. Chen was almost blushing."

Josephine sighed with relief, "As long as Mom's not getting suspicious, we're good."

"Exactly. If there's a product fit, we should definitely keep the partnership going."

Josephine stood up, "I'm off to the lab to check things out."

After changing her clothes, Josephine headed to the lab.

...

Darrick, with Xavier in tow, decided to visit Hunter and see how he was doing.

Hunter was watching TV when he heard Darrick had arrived and asked for him to be brought in. But when he saw who was with Darrick, his face clouded over.

With a gift in hand, Xavier greeted him politely, "Grandpa, I'm Xavier, your grandson."

Hunter's anger flared up instantly, "I don't have a grandson like you. Peter and Caiden are my only grandsons. I've never acknowledged you."

Darrick tried to reason, "Dad, whether you acknowledge him or not, Xavier is my son, and he's part of the Rowland family."

"That's your call, not mine. I'm still the head here, and this family doesn’t revolve around your decisions. If you're so set on acknowledging him, then cut ties with me and leave with them."

Hunter had made up his mind. Peter and Caiden were capable and rightful heirs to the Rowland legacy. As for Xavier and Darrick, he was prepared to cut them off entirely.

He suspected one of the three had a hand in his current predicament and was eager to push them out.

"Get out. I don't want to see you."

"Dad, Grandpa doesn't care for me, and he doesn't want to hear me speak. If I had said anything, it would've only made him angrier."

"But you can't just sit there mute! I brought you here today hoping you'd make a good impression, win over your grandfather. Look at you, you were completely useless."

Darrick was deeply hurt by Hunter's words.

Could a son be so easily dismissed?

Fuming, Darrick continued to vent his frustration at Xavier.

"Xavier, there's no point in visiting your grandfather anymore. He clearly still doesn't like you."

Xavier stayed silent.

"Dad, I didn’t even want to come here. You insisted. Grandpa's never liked me, so let's not make these trips a regular thing." Frustrated, Xavier started the car and drove off.
