Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 815

Josefina woke up, slightly disoriented, in the passenger seat of a car. Oliver was at the wheel, and the streetlights outside drifted by like gentle whispers in the night. From her vantage point, she observed Oliver’s neatly cropped hair and those ears that seemed to promise good fortune. His broad shoulders gave off a comforting vibe.

“Why am I in your car?” Josefina asked, rubbing her eyes.

“Josie, you were out cold, snoozing on your desk,” Oliver replied with a chuckle.

She sat up, adjusting her seatbelt as Oliver pulled over and stopped the car. He turned to look at her, his eyes softening as he took in her sleepy face. She looked like a lazy kitten, both adorable and serene.

“Josie, how about I carry you to your room so you can get some proper sleep?” Oliver suggested.

Josefina glanced out the window. “Wait a minute, this is your place. Why did you bring me here?”

“You looked so worn out, I figured your family would worry if they saw you like this. Josie, you're overworking yourself. You need to let others handle some of the load. You can’t do everything alone; it’s too draining.”

Stretching with a yawn, Josefina replied, “I used to manage just fine, but now that I’ve had a taste of the easy life, I guess I’ve gotten soft.”

Switching from luxury back to simplicity is tough; the other way is a breeze.

“Josie, ease up on yourself. There's always more money to be made, you know?”

Josefina stepped out of the car, inhaling the fresh air, and felt a renewed energy. “Oliver, you’re one to talk. You’re always swamped with work.”

Oliver chuckled, taking her hand as they walked inside, tossing his car keys to the security guard. “I’m hustling for a future—our home, our family.”

Josefina couldn’t help but smile at his gentle, teasing tone. She stopped, meeting Oliver’s deep-set eyes.

“Oliver, I never agreed to kids just yet.”
