Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 895

"I never said I’d abandon him; I’ll get a lawyer for him, so don't worry." Marina sat in the chair, feeling a deep emptiness inside.

Xavier pleaded desperately, "Mom, Dad, you've got to get me out of here! Oliver said he won't leave me alone, even if I end up in jail. He swore he’d make my life a living hell!"

Darrick exclaimed, "Oliver? How did you manage to get on Oliver's bad side?"

Marina chimed in, "No matter how tough Oliver is, he's still just a person. Why don’t you go back and plead with Grandpa? Ask him to reach out to Oliver’s grandfather. I remember you mentioned they know each other."

Darrick replied, "Grandpa’s disowned me, cut all ties. Do you really think he’d help?"

Marina pleaded, "I'll go with you, and if I have to, I'll kneel before Grandpa. As long as he can help Xavier, I'll take Xavier away."

Darrick looked at Xavier, speaking deliberately, "Did anyone push you into this?"

Xavier hesitated for a moment, then denied it, "No one made me do it; I wanted Josefina gone!"

Darrick declared, "I’m going to see your grandfather now. You better hope he agrees, because if not, there’s nothing more I can do."

After Darrick left, Marina, anxious and uneasy, told Xavier, "Wait for good news from me."

With that, Marina caught up with Darrick, and they left together.

...

Darrick, convinced he could get into the Rowland family house, was stopped at the door by Caiden and Peter.

Darrick, furious, scolded, "You two ungrateful brats, I'm your father!"

Peter shot back, "As if that matters. Honestly, we’d prefer not having anything to do with you."

Caiden added, "Grandpa’s not home; he’s on a trip to clear his head. Peter and I are handling Rowland family matters now."

Marina, as if struck by lightning, fell to her knees, tears mixing with the rain, "Xavier is your brother too. I beg you, let me speak to your grandpa."

Caiden replied, "Didn’t you hear me? Grandpa’s not home."

Darrick tried calling Hunter but couldn’t get through; the phone was off.

Peter added, "We came out here just to tell you to stop embarrassing yourselves. And just so you know, our mom only had the two of us, no other siblings."
