The car that was on her tail wasn’t having any luck; it got stuck at a red light. Inside, one of the guys slammed his hand on the steering wheel, frustration etched all over his face. “Damn it! She got away! She must've seen us coming!”
“Quick, notify the boss we lost her. She's gotta come up with another plan.”
Panic set in, and the blaring horns from the cars behind them just cranked up their stress levels. The driver yelled out, “What’s the hurry, folks? You act like you’re in a race to be reincarnated!”

Josefina made her way back to the security company and settled in to wait in Luke’s office. Before long, Luke walked in.

Josefina chuckled softly. “Same old Marina, letting herself get played like a puppet.”
Luke nodded. “Yeah, she’s probably so eager to take you down that she doesn’t mind being someone’s tool.”

Josefina leaned in, whispering her strategy. Luke nodded along, understanding perfectly.
“Leave it to me, boss. I’ll make sure it’s done to perfection!”
With a nod of approval, Josefina left the security company.

“Shay, you’re finally back!” Joelle exclaimed, practically bouncing with excitement.
“So, fill me in. What did I miss?” Shay asked, curious.
Joelle smirked. “If she doesn’t, the med students will drown her in criticism!”
Shay had a plan brewing in her head, but she knew patience was key, waiting for the right moment to make her move.

Reaching a large concrete pillar, Josefina ducked behind it, using its bulk for cover.
From her bag, she pulled out something that looked like a lighter. With a quick press of a button, it transformed into a firm, thin wire.
Clutching her makeshift weapon, Josefina spun around to face her follower…
