Josefina was completely thrown off her appetite after everything that had gone down. With such a whirlwind of chaos, grabbing a bite was the last thing on her mind. So, she hopped in her car and headed straight to Luke's office to see what was up firsthand.
As soon as she walked in, Alex was there, greeting her with a hot cup of coffee. "Boss, here's the report," he said, handing her a folder.
Josefina leafed through the pages. Apparently, the guy had a history of getting violent when drunk and had just picked a fight with his neighbor. After one too many drinks, he was on the hunt for someone to vent his frustrations on.
"Why me, though?" Josefina wondered out loud, genuinely baffled.
Luke chimed in, "I did some digging. Turns out, you and his neighbor were both wearing black trench coats. Seeing you must have reminded him of his neighbor."
Josefina was left speechless. Just her luck, right?
"Boss, at first, I thought it might be something more sinister, like someone was out to get you. But after a thorough check, it seems it was just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. You're really unlucky this go-around."
Josefina just nodded, deep in thought about her rotten streak of luck.
"Did you make sure there were no loose ends while looking into this?" she asked after a pause.
"Rest easy, Boss. We kept it all under wraps."
Satisfied, Josefina nodded again and headed out.
Meanwhile, Livia was tailing someone and ended up at a club, only to realize she'd been spotted. In a rush, she slipped into an unlocked private room.
Not long after, there was a knock on the door. It swung open, and a guy on the other side asked urgently, "Have you seen a young woman around here?"
Finley, who was already in the room, kicked him square in the stomach. "On my turf, and you dare question me? Who do you think you are, talking to me like that?"
The club manager quickly arrived after hearing the ruckus and started apologizing profusely. "Mr. Finley, this guy's clueless. Let me take him away before he causes you any more trouble."
The manager, visibly annoyed, dragged the guy off, muttering threats, "Mess with my business, and you'll be out of a job, buddy!"
