Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 969

Daniela and Jennie found themselves at the doorstep of the Harrison family mansion, each clutching a gift basket brimming with fancy cheeses and gourmet chocolates. They were there to offer a face-to-face apology to Josefina. The burly security guard at the entrance gave them a once-over, his expression dripping with disdain.

Speaking into his earpiece, he said, “Butler, we’ve got two folks here who apparently ticked off Ms. Josefina and want to apologize.”

The voice on the other end sounded incredulous. “What? Who has the nerve to mess with our Ms. Josefina? Are they out of their minds? Get their names.”

The guard turned to Daniela and Jennie, his tone frosty. “Names?”

Daniela clenched her teeth. “What is this, an interrogation?”

Jennie, equally uncomfortable, added, “We just came to apologize to Ms. Josefina. Do we really need to introduce ourselves?”

The guard was unmoved. “Without your names, how do I know you’re not here to pull something shady on Ms. Josefina? You could be up to no good.”

With a sigh of resignation, the two women reluctantly gave their names. Meanwhile, the butler relayed the situation to Josefina, who was in the middle of her martial arts practice.

Josefina paused just long enough to respond, “Let them go. I’m not holding a grudge about that incident.”

Her decision was mostly for Calix’s sake—a mutual friend of both sides. Josefina didn’t want to put him in a tough spot.

The guard, having received the butler’s message, addressed Daniela and Jennie again with a stern voice. “You can leave now. Ms. Josefina isn’t going to pursue it. You heard it yourselves.”

Jennie, desperate, reached for the guard’s arm and pleaded, “Dorian, please, just let us speak with Ms. Josefina. We came all this way to apologize in person. Just one word, please?”

Dorian shrugged her off, looking at her with disdain, and brushed off his sleeve like she’d dirtied it. “Beat it!”

With a final dismissive glance, he sent them on their way, leaving Daniela and Jennie steaming as they trudged back to their car.
