My Alpha Wants Two Lunas? I'M Done (Laila and Holt) novel Chapter 446

Chapter 446 The Memory the Wolf Brought Back

Chapter 446 The Memory the Wolf Brought Back

Thirdperson POV:

Viola didn’t linger and went straight back to Laila’s den.

She told Laila everything, including how Jasmine reminded her of Diana.

After hearing it, Laila stayed silent for a long time.

Estelle’s twisted intentions were enough to make anyone sick.

She forced down the disgust and asked, When are you going to see Jasmine?

Viola smiled. Tonight.

She never liked putting things off.

Besides, with her strength as a highranking Alpha, slipping into the Knightshome in the middle of the night would be effortless. She could walk across their rooftops, and no one would notice.

Laila didn’t stop her. If Jasmine could be brought to their side, that would obviously be a good thing.

And no matter what, reuniting a mother and daughter was the right thing to do.

Viola didn’t hesitate. She took the wooden wolf carving and headed straight for the Knights!

Under the cover of darkness, Viola slipped into Jasmine’s room.

Jasmine was lying in bed. At the sound, she shot upright, about to call out, but Viola crossed the room in one step and covered her

mouth.

Don’t make a sound,Viola whispered, releasing just a trace of Alpha pressure, enough to quiet a Beta without hurting her.

Jasmine stiffened, then slowly nodded. She knew she couldn’t fight an Alpha, and more importantly, she didn’t sense any hostility.

Viola let go and sat in the chair beside the bed. She didn’t turn on the light. Moonlight spilled through the window, settling

between them.

I’m Terrence’s sister,Viola said.

Jasmine glanced at her, assuming she was here to persuade her to refuse the marriage, and spoke first. Ms. Stone, about this arrangement-

Do you remember your mother?Viola cut her off.

Jasmine froze.

Not clearly, she said, lowering her gaze. I got separated from her when I was little. I only remembershe smelled nice. Like autumn grass.

Viola took out the wooden wolf carving and set it in the moonlight.

Jasmine’s eyes were drawn to it immediately. She stared at the rough little carving and went still.

Can Itake a closer look?she asked.

Viola nodded.

Jasmine took it carefully, her fingers brushing over the uneven surface. The broken hind leg, the scorched back, the chipped paint. She traced it again and again, and suddenly her chest tightened, like something was lodged there, making it hard to breathe.

She couldn’t help asking, Ms. Stonedid you make this?

Viola shook her head. No. My mother made it for me. Ugly, right?

Mother.

The word hit Jasmine like a needle.

Something stirred in her mind.

I don’t want it. It’s so ugly. That doesn’t even look like a wolf cub. I don’t want it. I don’t want it.

Jasmine, I carved it myself.

I don’t want it. I don’t want it.

A child’s cry, full of stubborn frustration. The sound of something hitting the ground. A woman’s soft voice was trying to soothe her.

Jasmine jerked her hand back, as if burned.

She lifted a hand to her face and only then realized her cheeks were wet with tears. The pain came in waves, sharp and relentless, like needles pressing into her chest.

Viola reached for the carving.

Jasmine pulled it close on instinct, clutching it to her chest.

It’s mine. Her voice broke as tears fell freely. This is mine.

Open

She took a shaky breath as memories surged up like a tide. That ugly little carving felt like a blade, tearing open something buried deep inside her.

She didn’t remember much.

Her earliest memory was lying by the roadside, burning with fever, like a rag someone had tossed out in the sun. She didn’t know where she was, how she got there, or even her own name. The sky had been too bright to look at, and her body swung between chills and burning heat.

A farmer found her.

He wrapped her in his coat and carried her home.

His wife fed her water, wiped her down, and stayed by her side for three days and nights before she finally pulled through.

She lived.
